Still amazes me how many 6-6 teams go to bowl games. Either way, at least Pitt playing in the Armed Forces Bowl is better than the Tire Bowl

I think OSU belongs in the top 4 more than FSU
If we're going to be biased towards body of work, lets do just that.
Stop letting words like undefeated have more precedence when we are talking about teams that only have 1 loss, and a good one at that.
I know this isn't the NFL where anybody can beat anybody any given sunday... they do have thresholds. we know that Harvard isn't going to come into the playoffs and shock the world.
but when we look at the the games TCU won, who they won them against, and by how much... do we REALLY think FSU is a better team, or are we obligated to let them move on because they are undefeated?
TCU pummeled some quality programs this year. and because of one loss to Baylor, we assume they aren't as good as FSU who beat essentially nobody all year.(how GT was ranked 11th after losing to duke and NC is beyond me)
if FSU makes it beyond Oregon it would be a HUGE surprise to me. I haven't seen anything that impressed me all year.

The way OSU rocked WISC didn't impress you? Or are you talking strictly about FSU?
The way I see it is the only four teams with a 12 (or higher) listed in their win column made it in.

They were lucky to escape 8 of their games this season, and one overtime.
They are a different team, the only remaining factor is they haven't lost. yet.
No more ACC competition though. Its about to get real.

Yea IMO OSU has a better chance against Alabama than FSU does with Oregon. Lol

Alabama has holes.. they've been exposed a couple times this year.
but as I was explaining to an Oregon friend of mine yesterday, Alabama wins championships with some mediocre people in skill positions (especially at the QB position) They are just disciplined as hell.
Playing Alabama is really like playing against Nick Saban more than anything. you have to outcoach that team to beat them. And its not an easy thing to do.
notice any of the last 10 years of AL QB's doing anything in the league? McCarron, McElroy, John parker Wilson?

No. But they've had some solid backs. I agree though that Alabama is the best coached football team year in and year out. But I'd also say that even though they may not have "megastars" on average they are better than most if not all.
Saban is a genius and I appreciate the way he carries himself. He said it over and over Saturday, winning the SEC means a LOT to me. And seeing my players do well in life means a LOT to me. I liked that.
It's going to be fun. Unlike years past where OSU had a B1G oriented pussy of a coach now we have a coach who has handled the SEC and isn't afraid to go for blood. I can't wait.

While this is a tired saying, the Ohio State-Alabama game will be won on the line.
Can OSU's O-line create holes for Elliot and give Jones time to throw?
Can Alabama's O-line do the same for Yeldon (et al) and Sims?
As good as Jones seems to be, Elliot is my new favorite player. Love the way he runs. Not afraid of contact, but can outrun people.

In my eyes it's not Yeldon that could be the problem for us, it's Henry.
Coleman from Indy is a bigger strong back and he put up good yards on us. Most forget how good he is when they talk about how poor Indiana is. Lol
Edit: Obviously Cooper is a problem. But IMO it's the only one on the outside. So we should be able to contain him.

henry is scary good right now.. he's gonna be an asshole next year too.
as long as that school continues to showcase power football and be in NC talks each year... RBs will continue to flock to it.
and I cant stand it

Oregon's offensive line was in shambles at that point of the season. Some of the guys were injured and being replaced by freshman. But they've moved beyond that and are healthy and clicking again. I still didn't think it was going to be that one sided of a game, the conference championship that is.

Good thing for the Ducks uniform. Otherwise they all look the same.

Alabama will always be home. OSU will always be away. So no, you won't.

Oregon will be away if they make the NC.
Well, if Alabama makes it too. Not sure what would happen if OSU does. I assume Oregon would still be home due to seeding.
