Gonna be teams from the power 5 conferences, I don't see anyone else making it.
It's much harder to pick who will make it out of the SEC .. and Pac 12.
I'm gonna go with Oregon, FSU, Oklahoma, A&M

^ If true, .
Since 1975: 19-18 What level is that? Is it the old farts from 50 years ago level?
Hopefully we can keep Rice to less than 8 yds/rush this year.

I have plenty of friends that like to take little snippets to fit their claims, but sadly it's the entire picture that counts. That's like jumping to conclusions before you hear both sides of the story. Sure that sounds great but we've basically doubled your wins against us.
If he can play then what would it matter how he came about? Plus, it's not like we can do much worse if swoops can't do anything this next game.

For the season, it doesn't matter. However, the fact that t.u. has a direct line to the best (2nd best, 3rd best at most) recruiting field in the nation but has to play a walk-on to win says there are MAJOR issues in the program. Which is why I am so glad we went to the SEC; that's part of the problem for you.

We couldn't even do it with their starting QB got out muscled in the second half but Swoopes looked great, if only he could take some of the heat off of his throws to his RB's then he'd get a few more completions.
I saw about 20 seconds of the A&M game. Once I saw rice tackling their own players I had to change it.
My favorite game of the day was Iowa and Iowa St, pretty good game.

Upset predictions?
Virginia over BYU?
Miamu over Nebraska?
Not really an upset, but UNC over ECU?

I don't think WVU or KSU have a chance.

After the Sugar Bowl last year, I would put money on Oklahoma having a better record than Auburn, but perhaps I don't know enough about the roster changes from last year between the two teams.

I didn't know Auburn had won last night when I wrote that.^

WOW, SMU really is bad. Still haven't scored a TD this season in 4 games.
Mizzou lost, and as of right now...Clemson tied with FSU, OU tied with WVU, Miss St. destroying LSU , S. Car barely beating Vandy, Neb barely beating Miami.

^ No way. Clemson epically fucked up several times.. they could/should have won the game.
I think there are 10 or so teams better than FSU. The ONLY reason they have the 1 ranking is because they won the championship last year and have the same qb, even though they look nowhere near as good as last year's team. The voters are only supposed to use 'what they've seen so far THIS season', but no doubt they are using what they saw last season as well.
LSU, Mizzou, almost Oregon.

Mississippi State looks to be a fun game this year.
(Assuming we are preparing for Arkansas this week of course. :wink
I don't mean to sound like an SEC glorifier, but the SEC West is ridiculous. #3, 5, 6, 10, 14, & 17 all have to play each other this year.

OMG what a game. So much foul language around me.
Our offense was SHIT the first half. SHIT! But in the second half both our offense and defense stepped up and balled! FUCK YOU AND YOUR 'DOMINATING' RUNNING GAME ARKANSAS. I was so impressed with our running D second half. If Arkansas couldn't beat our D with the run game, no way will they beat Bama, Ole Miss, LSU.

Earth-bound misfit
I think I might wake up with some grey hair in the morning. That was painful to watch. OT was rather definitive, at least.

^ Yes. What a statement. First play TD. Bring it...
Gotta say, the refs missed A LOT of calls that game. Almost 10 or so holding on the defense penalties by both teams. The reffing crew sucked.
And after Mizzou beating S Car. it looks like the SEC East is wide open again, just like the SEC West.

Not that I ever pay attention to the ESPN power rankings poll..
but explain to me how Oklahoma is #1 on the power rankings when they haven't played one ranked opponent or even a team with a winning record....
on your knees very much ESPN?

I really hate the SEC network. All the noon games that would be on free tv each week are gone. This week they are showing at least two, if not three that would normally find their way to the fringe channels. I get stuck with the shitty third-tier ACC game. Nobody wants that.

the 3 games on sec network aren't big games. The ones worth watching are going to be on regular cable channels.
Alabama v Ole miss CBS
LSU v Auburn ESPN
Texas A&M v Miss St. ESPN
I can see how it would be aggravating during idle times, but there is generally a much better non-sec game on the big networks to watch when an SEC game isnt worth putting on. PAC/BIG etc.

WatchESPN doesn't work for games on the main networks. You get a bunch of scrub games, which I guess is something. Occasionally for a big game you might get the skycam feed, which is what I've done for a couple of the 8pm games.
Saturdays I'm usually taking tests and cleaning house, so going places usually doesn't work. The struggle.
