My old league in the other alley had the standings online, but I'm not sure if the current bowling alley has it anywhere online. I looked all over their website but don't see it anywhere.

I bowl every Wednesday's at 9:15pm, the name of the league is called "The BIG Show"

Jesus why so late? Mine starts at 6:15 (6:15 practice, 6:30 competition). I also have 5 people on my team compared to your 3, so we don't get done until yall start anyways

haha, both my leagues are at 9pm. I love bowling late.

Shot a nice series last night 221-248-222=691. which is 2nd highest in the league now. Average went from a 191 to a 200 in one week, hahaha.

I'm averaging 210 on thursdays.

We are in week 6. 5 of 6 series have been 600 series. The one that didn't make it I shot a 492... (knee issues).

High series 636. Average was 197 last week, should be back in 200s going into week 7.

I don't really mind bowling later, as my days are usually late anyway, and there's no way I'd ever make it earlier than 9pm.

Tonight I bowled 187-198-178. Mind you, I woke up 5am this morning to spend all day on my feet at a dealer auction to buy some cars, got home at 6pm, relaxed for a little, went bowling, and just got home. I'm quite tired

Unfortunately we played a very strong team and my other team mates bowled merely "OK (they usually bowl a higher score than me, but this time I was the high score player for my team). First game we lost by 8 pins, second by like 80, and third we won by 29. On the other team, 2 of three had a strong game (one was 200+, one 250+), the second game all three bowled well over 200, and the last game they bowled well, but we did a little better. I had one of my team mates video record me so I can see how I bowl from another perspective, as I've never seen myself in action. I'll see if I can figure out how to get it off my phone and onto AZ.

Also, tonight I signed up to the USBC, so I think my scores/standings for this league is going to be recorded "officially".

They already are. Your league just got sanctioned is all. Takes a few weeks to do the paper work.

That's a low night for you man, but totally understandable because of your long day.

I hate when you are bowling under average to begin with and then everybody on the opposing team is bowling out of their ass and making you look even worse. Everybody has their night I guess.

Correct. I filled out my sanction card the 2nd week of league. Of course it wasn't sanctioned because of my butch league secretary, so my 279 game and 702 series didn't count, but I made up for that the next week

I was supposed to bowl tonight but I'm down in Florida on my Fall Break visiting family. It's great to see family I haven't seen in two or more years, but Thursdays are my favorite days of the week

Just got back from bowling...

240, 202, 215 = 657

A little under my average overall (225.89) but I'm pleased considering I was throwing the ball like shit. Missing a week of bowling due to going out of town for fall break really screwed me over. Luckily I was carrying like hell most of the first two games. The last game I finally started to throw the ball well but couldn't get the 10 pin to sit the fuck down to save my life

That's a heck of a lot better than me...

Yesterday: 159 - 191 - 162

We took Game 1 (32 pins) and 3 (30 pins), and lost the wood (by over 100). We played against another strong team, which incidentally consisted of two hard core lesbians and a drunk Italian dude. All three bowled very well for the most part. Game two however, each bowled over 200 (Lesbians bowled like 240 and 256, and the Italian dude 225), and as much as I can do that game, my other two team mates didn't bowl as well that game, we lost by a LOT though (170 pins), so even if my other guys bowled well we probably still wouldn't have won.

Oh well..

Ouch what happened that first game man? I always say "ehhh first game is a warm-up game" but it's usually my best game of the set

Well my team was all over the damn place tonight but the team we played against were a lot of fun to play against. We lost the first game by 120, won the second game by 136 (so we were +16 for total after two games) and then lost by 98 the last game. Up and down quite a bit tonight, but oh well. That's bowling for ya, very unpredictable.

I came late and missed practice, I was also on 4 hours of sleep again (woke up 5:25am to go to the dealer auctions again, and we finished bowling about 11:45pm), my fingers were very cold (temperature dropped like crazy last night), and I left my ball in my car, so bowling with a cold ball didn't help much either

Your scores should count for an award or whatever. I would argue the point.

3rd game of last night: X X X X X X 9- X X X X X = 267

Damn 10-pin

A game like that is frustrating to no end. A few weeks ago I bowled the front 8 and did the same thing you did except it was in the 9th, left a 10 and missed it FML, two strikes in the the tenth and left another 10 pin on the last ball

Damn 10 pin. I've gone from 9 four times this league and left a flush 10-pin on the 10th ball every time. So frustrating. But hey, 269 is an awesome game!

A few years ago when I shot my high set of 778 (245, 244, 289), between the 2nd and 3rd game I managed to get 18 strikes in a row and still didn't shoot 300 (5th frame of the 2nd game through the 10th ball of the 3rd game). I threw the ball 4 boards left, came in heavy and left a 4 pin 11th ball of the last game. Talk about frustrating

Also, how about this for consistency? In 2006 during league play, averaging 195 I went 159, 279, 121. Terrible

Well tonight was a good night score-wise, but I was throwing the ball like shit. Got lucky A LOT.

223-246-230=699 (one fucking pin....)

PLUS I picked up the Big Four (4-6-7-10) Too bad grimey ass USBC doesn't give a patch for it anymore

^Damn has he really? I haven't

One 289 game and at least ten 279 games. So frustrating.

Usually you get a ring from the USBC if you shoot 300 now, no trophies.

^ teh gay.

Had a good night last night, 210-232-245. Shoulda had a 700, got some bad breaks.

Average is 205 now in two leagues.

Teammate had the front 7 one game, then fucked up royally, haha. I think he ended with 250 something.

^Damn the USBC has gotten fucking cheap

And dang you were so close to a 700. I shot 699 last week, so I feel your pain.

I'm pumped for tomorrow nightMy team is in first place by 3 points and we are playing the 2nd place team. It's going to be crazy. I'll need to bowl out of my ass of course, or at least over my average which isn't always easy to do when I'm sitting at 226.

203, 204, 204 = 611

I hear ya on that man. Last night the lanes were mostly dry for me, but a few oil patches that made the ball slide out a little further than normal and I couldn't adjust for shit

Well, everyone was 20 below the first game, even the other team. Just tough lane conditions. I actually had a 4 bagger in the first game, sandwiched between two splits (lol pocket 8-10), and I had 4X to end the last game, or it would have been a lot worse. Just a ton of multi pin leaves, for a lot of players.

You definitely can't be too hard on yourself when the lane conditions are rough, there is a reason a 205 will win some tournaments and a 245 won't even get you into the finals in others.

I was working on a dutch 200, which I've never done before, it's a lot of work for merely OK score, but ultimately I screwed it up in the 10th Otherwise my bowling has been only OK lately, ordered a new ball and am having it drilled on Monday, we'll see how it treats me.

I've never bowled a dutch 200. Since the USBC are cheap bitches, they don't give you an award for it, so there's no point for me anymore.

What kind of ball did you get? I've had mine for 4 years and refuse to use anything else

If I found a ball that I REALLY liked I would stop jumping around, but I don't think that will ever happen lanes vary too much for one ball to be the ticket in all conditions

I just picked up a MoRich Ntense LevRG, nothing special to look at, it has more bite then my current primary ball the MoRich Solid LevRg and should gain more revs, which is probably my biggest weakness. It's the ball Walter Ray Williams Jr. throws most of the time, again for him it depends on the lanes/oil pattern.

I met a guy who works at a local alley who is a REALLY good bowler, has rolled so many 300's he has lost track, if he had the flexibility to do the PBA tour no doubt in my mind he could do very well, he is going to coach me a little bit and be my source for drilling from here on out. He helped one of my friends and his ball is hitting a lot harder, he throws 13-14 MPH, I typically throw 15-17 MPH depending on the lanes, and his ball is gaining a lot more revs then it used to not to mention his score has gone up over 20 pins this season over last. They are both Storm fans, I just don't like the smells, kind of weirds me out!

That said I'm sure some day I will try a Storm ball, but I really want to get a Roto Grip Cell Pearl, but I got too good of a deal on the Ntense to pass up.

Good looking ball! I've personally never heard of it.

And good luck with the coaching! I have a guy like that as well. He bowls in the other league the same night I bowl, and he shot 820 last night like it was nothing

Only if you're playing Wii resort! I can roll 300's without much trouble on Wii Sports and complete the spin control and spare pick-up exercises regularly. On Wii resort I struggle to roll above 250 and the spin control is a PITA on a whole new level, I have yet to break a 200, the 100 pin game is surprisingly fun and my average is higher(when divided by 10) then with standard 10 pin!

Haha Jason...you had 9 strikes in a game and only shot 219? Terrible.

I've bowled 12 300 games on my Wii and a shit ton of 279's. But yea the new Wii Resort Bowling is hard as FUCK! I played at my cousins house down in Florida a few weeks back and I struggled to get 200, the ball curves too damn much.

Of course it's terrible.. I'm not a bowler. Now tiger woods golf, that's a different story. shot 8 under par at Augusta National on pro.
