Hello, GA Aziners! My name's Ryan and I live just a bit south of Atlanta in good ol Peachtree City. Been lurking here for a month or so since I decided that I wanted a TL for my next vehicle. Now I'm the proud owner of a 2006 5AT AM TL that I found at Ed Voyles with only 58k on it so I had to get it. Thanks for all the great information on this forum which helps me to take proper care of my new investment. I'm loving the TL so far and I've been a Honda/Acura fanboy since I got my 1998 Civic 14 years ago. I requested to join the FB group so I look forward to meeting some of you soon. I don't have many pics since I just got the car yesterday but here she is:
Southside of Atlanta here but work in Forsyth County. Just picked up an '08 TL base 5AT. Most of the time, I'm riding my GSX1300R everywhere I go. Currently in need of transmission work on the TL and could use some pointers for what direction to go with. If you see either the car or bike, feel free to say hello.

Sounds a little rough when it is in drive.
Aside from that, it shifts 1-5 just fine.
When is last time you did fluid change? Pressure switches? Our transmissions have a natural delay already. I hate when my wife drives the car because she doesn't wait and jerks the car already on the gas before it engages.

I just bought the car Saturday and drove it home. Fluid looks good. Previous owner said it has been doing it for about a year. My ex wifes RL does the same and she does the same thing your wife does. I dont mind the delay but if its related to a transmission getting ready to go out, I want to get a fix for it. Just not sure if I want to go ahead and swap out the transmission or do repairs to this one. Car has 274k miles and still runs great.
Bump. Hoping for some advice here. Possibly relocating to the metro Atlanta area near the end of the year. Any reputable shops I can trust that work on Acura/Honda?
