SO I've been looking around and I can't find anyone who has a 2010-2012 RDX with a color matched front grill (and/or license plate surround)

Anybody here did it? Any picture to show me what it looks like?

A friend of mine did a quick photoshop for me, and I am not quite sure about the front grill. He did a full body match and one with a charcoal grey top bar.. The photoshop shows flatblack but it would be color matched with clear...



The license plate surround is a no brainer I think.... looks so much better!


What do you think? I would obviously color match the fogs surrounds and next summer, flat black wheels.

I prefer the grey charcoal upper grill, and I wonder if it would be nice to have a dark grey license plate surround also...?

i have a carbon grey model and plasti dipped front grills.. havent done the rear but its a no brainer on looks how much it improves the looks on the front end.. i get looks more often now that i did it.. if i find a front grill piece where the A is i plan to make a mold of it and do it in carbonfiber.. i been slacking on it though cause i need to redo a mold of the engine cover to do in carbon..

Looks pretty good! I'd consider doing the fog light bezel as well

This...or just plastidip the whole thing black so that the piece is a uniform color. It looks great.

I like the Charcoal grey Pic the best. You might want to photoshop characoal grey for the rear lic plate surround, fog bezel, and rims to see what it looks like. I would leave the front Acura logo in Chrome.

The more I think about it, it will need to be glossy black, not just palstidipped matte black.

plasti dip makes a glossifier too =) i opted out from doing it since matte looks better for my color IMO the nice thing about plasti dip is you can peel it off later..

I did the grill , the fogs and rear license surround and replaced the chrome handles with Honda Matt black handles

it is flat black plastic dip
- about 3 coats and its held up with no issues

i did plastidip on my grill.. came out great.. i got likek 3-4 months of hard cold winter and started peeling a tad, so i will redo it and do the top strip now.. i love the look. I have 3k hid fogs and it just looks so mean at night.
