Brake Pad Chamfered side up or down?

So I got replacement cmax pads and for some reason the only way I could install them to have the metal tab (pad sensor) UP on the outter pad is by having the chamfered or tapered end down instead of up like it was previously. So does it matter if the chamfered side of the pad is up or down? I have read its only to reduce noise so i dont think so, but I want some advice if its okay or should I get another set? Thanks!!

Metal wear sensor should be on the inside.

Really? Mine was on the outside when I replaced them and thats how it was done in a diy video. Im so confused. All 4 pads had sensors and i took off the sensor of the inside pad because it would rub inside the caliper and I was uncomfortable with that.

Not that I don't have anything better to do, but guess I need to validate my response:
From the Acura FSM:
Install the brake pads and pad shims on the caliper bracket.
Install the inner brake pad with its wear indicator upper inside (Front)
Rear, inner facing downward.

The reason it's normally on the inner pad is because that pad will wear faster than the outer, especially if one isn't hard on the brakes.
