I may have a set of exLED plate bulbs that I won't be using. Drop me a PM and I'll see if I can find them this weekend.

It's funny you mentioned that, the license plate bulb is the same one I didn't install from my exLED kit. If you can't find yours let me know and I'll try to find mine. lol

Just curious, what's wrong with the plate bulb from the exLED kit?

absolutely nothing but I didn't feel it fit in with the exterior of the car, no other LED's in sight so looked out of place to me.

Not a thing but why call attention to your car by having an overly bright license plate bulb that:

A. You'll never see
B. Doesn't meet intensity requirements so it is technically an equipment violation
C. PITA to change

ExLED makes some very good lights and this is probably no exception if you want that "look".

The other bulbs I never installed were the visor mirror lights - my wife would not have been happy. More light is fine, but not cold harsh light that magnifies every pore.

actually IMO, there's zero difference in intensity from the stock crap bulbs....just changes the color to white (in my case) instead of 1950s styles yellow (just had a vehicle inspection and it passed with zero issues).

Texas doesn't generally check for that. You'd fail in PA.

Just had my car inspected in jersey, and our fantastic Governor decided that since less than 5% of cars fail, no safety inspection needed, you just need to pass emissions. With that said the inspector told me they were required to pass a jeep Cherokee (not a wrangler mind you) with no doors on it and another vehicle that had just one window, the windshield, the requirements to pass at this point in NJ are 1. Pass emissions. 2. have a windshield to put it on. And the inspector asked me where I got my LED interior lights apparently he has less than good results with his E-bay purchased ones.

I can't speak on the exLed bulbs light output but the VLEDs I have are much brighter than the stock bulbs. Can't imagine anybody actually measuring output of license plate bulbs. Plus you get your car inspected in the daylight so how would they ever know?
