70mm TB 2G CL/TL

Category: Accessories
Price: $170
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part Fits (you may select multiples): CL 2G, TL 2G, Other Honda/Acura
Location (State/Prov/Terr): Can-ON
Item Condition: Used

For sale is a used 70mm throttle body by RPM. This is a direct bolt on for the 2nd ten CL/TL. To have your IAC working properly i have the P2R adaptor seen here:http://www.powerrevracing.com/product-p/p362.htm

The P2R adaptor is brand new never used. I'll also include a 70mm thermo gasket from P2R. To get the IAC working properly you'll need to tap for a vacuum line before the throttle body (into your intake) and after. Because i'm supercharged, my TB is right before the blower and i don't want to tap into the blower for a vacuum line.

Asking $170 obo.

these engines love to breathe. I measured the s/c inlet at the TB and it is 70mm so you would be getting rid of a bottle neck essentially. I believe the stock TB is 64mm so you're gaining about a 1/4 inch.

Since you're s/c'ed you would put a nipple where the MAP sensor would go. That would give you vacuum after the TB for the IAC. Then you just need a nipple before the TB to the IAC. P2R uses this setup on their accord.

I haven't installed it but I don't believe so.

I might just use this myself. I picked up some barbs to make the iacv work and I'm going to try it out.

since the TB is direct bolt on and I'm running a stock motor (J32A2 from a CL-S6) would I still need to tap a vacuum line for the IAC? if so how is this done. not really sure what it means to tap a line, forgive my noobness. i would love to get this if you don't end up using it for yourself, just need to get an idea of what I'm going to have to do to run it correctly.

so you would need to have a vacuum fitting/nipple after the TB which you could put on a TB spacer or tap into the neck of your manifold. Youtube "how to drill and tap" and you'll see. then you screw in your barbed nipple. You essentially create a threaded hole to screw something into.

Cant you just use a port on the rear plenum? That's where mt IAC is getting vac from currently. At idle whats the manifold pressure difference with the SC?

Ya you probably could just T off one of the vac lines on the rear plenum.

Took some new pics of the IAC and bought barbs for it.
