Acurazine track meet

This is a feeler thread for a date in the spring time once the season opens. Please post times/dates as we progress and make suggestions as to which drag strip would be a great location for this event.

Here are a few track suggestions throughout the East coast.

Richmond Dragway - http://richmonddragway.com/ver9/
Virginia Motorsports Park - http://vmpdrag.com/drag/
Capitol Raceway - http://capitolraceway.net/
Maryland International Raceway - http://www.mirdrag.com/
Cecil County Dragway - http://www.cecilcountydragway.com/
Maple Grove Raceway - http://www.maplegroveraceway.com/
Pittsburgh Raceway Park - http://www.pittsburghracewaypark.com/
Atco Raceway - http://atcoraceway.com/
Englishtown Raceway - http://www.etownraceway.com/

There are already a handful of us very interested(mostly swapped and performance guys) and we are ready to fly down the 1320.

Chime in! Let's get this thing rolling and generate a nice turnout. BS & CHAT welcome.

^ Perfect way to test your "186" whp. If you trap 92, you have 186whp lol. Otherwise, I think you will be fine

I would be in for one of the VA tracks. Witch even one we could get the most runs in.
Seaching high and low for the best deal on a wheel and tire set up for the track.

I say we do it by estimating your time. Closest three people win. Some cars are obivously faster than others by nature

As we get closer to the date I will think of some prizes. The company I work for has relationships with other businesses that store their equipment in our warehouse. In short, I can get products at a discount.

I'm willing to invest in these as an incentive to get more people to come out and join. Of course more people means more prizes. Screw a raffle, competition is much more fun.

I'd definitely be willing to come down assuming I don't have to drive more than 5 or 6 hours preferably.

What tracks can we run at in Ohio? Only reason I ask is some have mentioned running there and I'd like to see how far of a drive it would be for me.

Whatever it is, add 2hrs for Fox and maybe an hour more for RP.

Guessing the time would be gay. That's like bracket racing and that's very gay lol. I say every person that races enters a pot, we all decide how much to chip in per person and the top three people win the cash. Sounds like a better plan to me lol!

For example:

1st place $100
2nd place $50
3rd place $25

Something along those lines would be cool.

I'm willing to travel a decent amount since I will be towing my car anyways.

The DSS thing was passed off to Fox. I dont foresee myself buying them as I have no desire to keep the CL past the spring.

It's a custom one that's in my build thread or I might be able to use my friends enclosed 24ft trailer.

Well I should of said boring instead of gay lol. I like heads up drag races with people that are in the same class. There's no way I have the fastest j series someone has to be faster than me that's going lol.

As for the axles you guys can buy them anytime. If I setup a group buy I would need people that I can count on.

I know one guy in NY but he's on slicks and he's on a tuned map. The GB would probably not happen but I would be a guaranteed buy for some.

Are you going to be spraying down the strip? If so, we automatically disqualify you.

Most of us here are All motor or S/C'd.

Are you talking about the guy with the 3.6 accord? If so make sure you invite him also. The more j series the merrier lol!

I'm still willing to setup the group buy if I can get at least 10 people together. I know I'm willing to buy a set for sure. So far my oem axles are still holding up strong and haven't let me down, knock on wood lol.

Damn right I'm going to be spraying lol, shit I might be on a 250+ shot by spring! I'll do a few n/a passes maybe haha!

About 5 hours and 30 minutes estimated from Long Island to MIR.

Yeah that bastard.

My axles have been fine but I want the DSS in hand if these ever need replacing.

Just messing with you. Spray until you run out. Would like to see you run 11's.

I understand what your saying I would like to have a set ready to go also when the time comes. Maybe we can set it up if other people are seriously interested also.

I would bring 2 or 3 full nitrous bottles to swap out just in case. I'm sure I won't run out lol. I'll definitely run in the 11's, I want to see how deep in the 11's I will go lol.

All this nitrous talk and I might have to add some and trailer my car too.
Definitly not going to show up being the slowest.
Hitting my local track tomorrow for faster N/A slips.

I have considered this. We just need the other members to agree.

My tax return is going to a kit...

I need NOS...I need NOS... My car topped out at 140mph this morning. I need one of these, one of the big ones. Actually, lets make it two. And Harry, I need it by tonight!

I would honestly probably try and organize one at CMP first. Problem with organizing those is you can't really afford to have people flake cause of the cost of those events.
