Nice commercial. Wish Acura aired more commercials on TV. Don't see them too frequently.

Every Acura commercial seems like the same commercial to me. They're all dark/shadowy and damn near all of them have a silver car in them with the same dude talking. This is just like the other commercial(s?) where the actor gets "re-dressed".

The voice of car commercials is the same intentionally. Brand recognition. Lexus, BMW, Mercedes, etc all have the same voice in their commercials.

The Acura commercials do tend to have a similar style though.

It looks like a lame commercial to me.
First, it is selling a skier in a dress, not a car. It shows more detail about her than they ever have about their car.
Second, it assumes every viewer is already aware of all the TL's features, and have been turned off by the nose & tail lights only.
Third, if their target market is all previous shoppers who were turned away by the looks alone, than I would suggest that market size is very small as most have them probably already bought something else.

I like the one with the football player better.

It does a good job of expressing how the car goes from being sporty and aggressive (which I much prefer) to a more sedated yet classy look.

I must be the only person who doesn't seem to be a fanboy of their commercials. The long one where the guy describes the new car he's bringing her is wretchedly stilted. Kevin Costner couldn't have done a worst job of reading the script. It is like a grammar school play.

As for the commercials where they try to clean people up - instead of what others are getting from them - I'm walking away with - let's put some lipstick on this pig.

I always thought the point of this commercial was that they can take a high performing car, and make it elegant. Much like that athlete.
