A-134 Service
I've got 2007 TL with just over 105k miles.
My A-134 Service light just came on.
Do you have to change Timing Belt, spark plugs, etc? I called Acura and they said service was $1520.
I usually get my oil changes, tires rotated, filters changed etc at Honda since they are reasonably cheaper.
Honda says $900 for timing belt and $245 for spark plugs. Oil change is about $40 and Transmission fluid is about $80.
Should I just call Acura and see how much for timing belt/spark plug? Again, is this necessary based on mileage? I'll do it if so, but don't want to spend that much $$$ if not necessary. I do mostly highway driving if that matters.
Thanks

I'd do the 105k service at the Honda dealer, but skip them doing the plugs for $245 and do it yourself....
I got the NGK Laser-Iridium plugs for $60, and had to get a socket extension and a thing like an antenna but with a magnet on the end to pull the plugs from the back side of the engine out, and it took about 2 hours, first time changing plugs on a car.

Ask them how much labor is to do the TB/WP job. You can buy the TB kit from Kaleb (AZ vendor) for $295.00. Alternatively, contact Honda or an indy mechanic that you trust and find out how much the labor would be. Kaleb sells the plugs as well.
