I was a Honda enthusiast many years ago. Remember when they actually cared about performance? When they dominated F1 and CART racing with their superior engine tech? When they built fantastic sports cars like the NSX and S2000 (before they languished for decades without redesign)? When they still made the Prelude, Integra, RSX, CRX, Legend coupe, etc?
Nowadays Honda's idea of "performance" is an idiotic-looking CRZ hybrid with 106 hp. Wow. Their "cutting edge" engine is the same SOHC unit they've been making for nearly two decades. Their interior design incorporates more plastic than a toy car. And I could go on.
Sad to say that today, I am no longer a Honda fan. Nissan/Infiniti is the new Honda....

I agree with you.....
Fads go out of stile, racing doesn't. .. a person could. have a stripped out crx caged up sitting on some old school mugen mr5's with a stroked 2L or have a a rsx (integra) with a built k24 sitting on some Volk te37's and they would both be in style you now why? Cuz circut racing will never go out of style.....

If I were out to build a circuit racing monster, I doubt I'd start with a CRX
While I'm sure it can eventually be a very compotent vehicle, I think there's some better cars to start out with.

O but you can buy one here... Acura made a type r integra for a few years.... great platform to start with.... depending on what state you live in.... its fairly easy to bring a Japan spec Honda to the states ... a few years back I was going to buy a 96 Ctr (civic Type r ) that was for sale in georga.... but instead I built a 97 hatch with a k20/24 swap.... shit was fast as hell! Good old days

My cousin had an Intergra GSR (unfortunately it was stolen), very nice car, Honda/Acura knew what they were doing there, that's for sure. Today I just wish the highest performance vehicle they made wasn't a Civic Si, and that the rest of the line-up had some excitement to it the way it once did.
This.
The k series motors that are in the new civic si's can put out shit loads of power.... it just takes $$$$$$ merry a tsx k24 bottom end and the head off a 06 si with hondata kpro few little parts here and there and youll have a high review beast of A motor....
nah I'm cool. That sounded great when I was a teenager up into my early 20s. My 3G TL was nice, but it started becoming affordable and in the hands of ricers. Maybe I'll have better luck with my G37.
The correct term you are looking for is: Eat before you talk.
The Fit is probably the only thing Honda has going for it currently... it's bigger then a Civic hatch, CR-X, etc.
I'll pass on the video. I've owned 6 Hondas so I like them. But I don't give a fuck about modding them anymore.

Why would anyone want a car that is ugly, has such a high power band it has no torque to speak of, and sounds like an angry chipmunk? (Civic Si)
