Can I get an Acura Remote Start on a 2009 TSX?

I want to purchase a remote start for my wife but I want to avoid something aftermarket. I see that Acura provides one for the TL but I don't see one for the TSX (Though I see one referenced on a few places but no details). Does Acura have one I can purchase for a TSX and have it installed by my dealer?

Thank you!

the 2010 tsx offers it on the 'build and price'. i would call your dealership and see if it would work on a 2009.

i think it does work. but the thing is once you start it you gotta go in the car, turn it off, and starti t manually again i believe. correct me if im wrong. so its not much of a "remote start" IMO

Ack yeah that isn't very useful. Do you know if that is for all remote starts (Including after-market) or just for the Acura model?

Thank you!

no not all of them are like that. i have a 2010 camry, with a toyota remote start and it shuts off once the car is unlocked.
i also have an 07 mazda 3 where i got an after market remote started by autopage, the autopage 150 i think it was. with this one all you gotta do once its remotely started is to unlock the car, put the key into the on position, and press the brake. if you press the brake before the key is in the right spot, then is shut off.
the reason we didnt go after market on the camry, was cause the remote is already built into the key and we would end up carrying 2 remotes around. for the mazda we just replaced out factory remotes with the autopage ones. it would be even more annoying on the tsx. and actually the factory one gets a remote then too. i would look into after market. but they might not be as compatible. i would guess they do work ok.

Compustar Aftermarket Remote Start

The Acura remote start from my dealer was a real ripoff I think it was almost $700 and did nothing. I have an aftermarket Compustar RF-P2W9000-SS it is a two-way starter. If you don't know what that means, it will let you know when and if your car started. It came with (2) different remotes. A small four button remote I use in the summer and a larger one with graphics that I use for the winter. When you start the car with the graphics remote when it starts you see an outline of a car with smoke coming out of the exhaust to let you know that the car started it also tells you the inside temperature of the car. The range is 1 mile and works great through walls and buildings. My wife has a Compustart but it is just a one way remote, you hit the button and hope the car started. I've tried hers before when I borrowed her car and it wouldn't work in my office building because of all of the electronics walls etc. My 2-way works like a charm and has never failed me, the price was about $500 installed from Horizon Audio in OH.

Compustar makes great products. There website is www.computstar.com

I didn't read the other post's, so I don't know if your question was already answered. But yes you can get a remote start for the 09 TSX at the dealership. I think they are right around 500 installed when I got my car about 4 months ago. Good Luck!

I have one on my 2009 and I would not recommend it. It was very expensive and it never works after it has been in a tight pocket for a while. I'ts kind of like the buttons get hit and it freeze's the computer in the remote.

dont get it !!

I have the acura remote start on my 2009 TSX, ( i got it free, told them to throw it in when i bought the car) but it costs like $700 and its a piece of shit.

The range it bad, and worst of all before you get in the car.... you have to turn it off .... wtf ???? This is so bad for the starter and its so annoying.

Get an aftermarket one for like $300 and you'll get way better range and u'll be able to do stuff like set the temperature.
