My wife and my side chick aka my tl
I Love my GIRL and i take care of all of my responsibilities but everytime i save the money to buy something for the car is a problem. Even when i ask her and tell her what i am going to do in advance and at first she is ok with it then out of no where!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHY YOU GOT THAT SHIT IT DOESNT LOOK GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!WHY DOES THE CAR GET ALL THAT ATTENTION AND I DONT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anytime I want to get something for my ride, even for standard maintenance, she complains.. next thing u know she's buying ANOTHER pair of shoes, or ANOTHER outfit... her drawers and closets are overflowing with this crap!! After i make the discovery of her purchases I buy a few things I need/want for my car 
She can't say shit now! lol

Mine's been kinda doing the same thing lately. In the last 2 months I got the ATLP V2 quads, Jpipe, HFC, tints, a Passport Escort, tranny drain, new car wash stuff & a nice detail job....so I could kinda see where she's coming from but she also got a $1,400 puppy last year and we went on a cruise. I'll probably lay low for bit besides CAI and a pulley...until next year when I do my drop & wheels

And the thing is i dont buy shit for my self couse i am just a jeans tshirt kind of guy dont give too fuck about fashion and my girl is the opposite she is a fashion hore..........the most expensive thing i own is my 500 dollar suit.........my girl got at least 15k in her closet and that is a understatement......
so you figure that one out and i dont give too fuck about what she buys for herself or the baby...................................to me it is just the attention that i give the car but fuck it that is never going to change

Your TL is an eminently replaceable mass production inaninimate object that doesn't give a fuck about you.
Your wife and daughter are not, but you could certainly behave your way into them not caring about you if that's what you're looking for. Sounds like you're most of the way there with your wife.

The mistake you're making is thinking this is about your car. It's not. You could be mowing the lawn and if she thinks that activity is getting more attention than her, she'd be complaining about that.
When people complain about objects, the true objection is rarely about the object itself, but an underlying issue. The object is just more easily identifiable.
You should not be asking why she's after you about your car, you should be asking yourself why she is feeling unappreciated. Fix that problem, and the car becomes a non issue.

My girlfriend has no problems at all with me blowing money on my car. For my birthday and for Christmas she always gets me a few Polo shirts and some shit for my car.

+1, the wife and I shared an account for 7 years. We finally moved to seperate accounts and couldn't be happier.
Doesn't anyone save for their future anymore? Put that shit in a mutual fund!

anyway. my girl is into cars, she absolutely loves my car. in a month or so we are lowering her car, and getting an intake and exhaust
