Heres my 1st impression of HIDXtra's Kits: Originally posted a few days ago.
I received my kit today H3 5K I could have waited a few extra days for ups and better packaging but over all they were received well no damage to the packages a layer of bubble wrap or fragile stamp would have helped. I havent fired them up yet to test yet I will do a pictorial when I do the install and fire up. If all goes well i will get a set for the woman and old mans car.

Posted this yesterday in this thread: http://www.acurazine.com/forums/show...&postcount=108
tested up my kits BTW everything looks good cant wait until a sunny day to do the install.

Well got them installed this weekend, I must say this was the best bang for buck kit, unfortunatly I foobarbed and didnt bring my camera to my parents place this weekend. So I will have to post pix of the output when ever I (REMEMBER) to take some after the car is detailed and cleaned up. 2 thumbs up no flicker I grounded everything and made sure the thin ballest were tucked nice and tight.

I got my bulbs back from HIDExtra so I threw them on. The first set I got was defective but the customer service is extremely good at HIDExtra I got a prepaid return authorization and sent them back. The new bulbs I got are the correct color now and my results as far as beam throw in the 1g CL halogen housing was pretty decent all things considered.

The PnP HiD kits are literally fool proof. You can't mess up the installation.

You really can't beat this PnP kit for the money.

Due to the competitive HID markets we are forced to lower our profit margin. Thank god we are direct manufacturer. Otherwise we would be out of business already.

Yea retailers aren't going to be able to make money anymore with these.

Unless you're a direct ship manuf I don't see many business based on HID sales lasting.

so i ordered them thursday at around 12 noon, and saturday they were in my mailbox, very fast shipping. I installed them late at night, and since my cl has only 72k miles on it, i doubt the lights have ever been taken out, so the sockets were almost melted on. But after some frustration taking old stuff off the 9006 8k hids went in pretty good. Put one adhesive pad on backwards so i ended up using some apoxy to hold one ballast down but otherwise they are in good. Only one hint i would give is that when plugging the stock headlight socket onto the hid's, push them together with the power of god! otherwise they won't turn on, seems you have to shove them together really good. Otherwise they are verrrry bright, i already can tell im probably making other drivers mad would reccomend this kit, we'll see how long they last but quality would probably be a 4/5. Good quality for me.

What is stock 6000k or 8000k on an Acura

Does anyone know what is the Kelvin on the Acura TL? I would like to get a set for another car and keep the same color of light.

Most stock HIDs are 4300 as that produces the most visible light. a 5000k aftermarket set will produce something pretty close to your stock temp.

Here is an example of our HID installed in a Halogen housing, the car is a 2000 Infiniti I30. The beam pattern is clean and does not scatter like other hid kits, and the projection area of visibility is similar just brighter so you can see better. Thanks~

P.S. beam may vary slightly upon different vehicles such as (YR make model and height, for examples for trucks or SUVs, the cutoff may be higher)

All orders placed before 3pm PST yesterday have been shipped and you should have already received a tracking #, if you didn't, please call 860-821-8212, your order might be delayed due to

(1.) needing confirmation because you input different billing and shipping information
(2.) your order did not go through

Thank you!

Kind of a duplicate post on my end as I didn't realize you were a vendor on acurazine as well as clublexus, but considering this pertains to an Acura I feel I should post this here as well and once I receive the 6000k bulbs from you all I'll post up the new pics. BTW..Where is a listing on acurazine of all the forum vendors? I looked around and could not find anything.

So anyway, I placed an order for a pair of H11 6000k bulbs for our 06 Acura MDX. Prior to discovering HIDExtra on CL AND Acurazine, I bought a 5000k HID kit from a Xenonlink.com. Well everything went well and the kit installed just fine, but when I fired the lights up they were different colors!? (see picture below) Contacted the site and they said they would send me new bulbs, but they never did and have yet to hear back as of two days ago. Hoping for a much better experience with HIDExtra.

ps..Is your 6000k kits more white than what appears in my photo?

Hi,

Sorry you had a bad experience with the other seller, I'm sure we can make sure to test the bulbs before we send it out to you so you won't get color mismatches.

Our white is more to your 5000K labeling below, the bluish tint one on the left could possibly be more to our 8000K(White with light blue tint), let me know if you are going to purchase a replacement .

Thanks~

Michelle

HI,

For your record, I just noticed that xenonlink is one of our distributors that sells our product at a higher price.
If you are interested, we can swap the bulbs out for you and match the colors, please let us know if you want to ship the bulbs back to us for color matching and we can send you a replacement.

Thanks!

Michelle

Michelle, I also purchased a set of 6000k H11 bulbs from you all this morning. Order Number: 1009. If I could I wouldn't mind shipping back the H11's that I received from xenonlink in exchange for proper 5000k. Having both 6000k and 5000k would be nice to have so that I can personally see the difference. My order number with you from this morning is

VuVewVoo I'll take a picture of the 6000Ks once I receive them. I have a pretty good camera (Nikon D90) so i'm confident in the accuracy of the picture. The picture I took above was also with the D90 and I can tell you that it's exactly how it looks in person.
