I think its not the REAL stig,.......no way would they let him talk to anyone cause someone might figure it out. I think that person looked a bit taller than the stig we see in the show too. Anyway,.....thats just IMO.

I think the current theory is that Hill may be ONE of the stigs.
Clarkson and others have hinted at there being more than one, and in some strange corners of the net the try and messure the hight of the stick and note the posture he has in the car.
ITS A STIG CONSPIRACY!
also this was shot early in the white stigs career, the cars he is testing there appeared a couple years ago.

i dont think the stig is any "particular" person.
i think they keep him on the low so they can have just any skilled driver that knows the track run the cars. How inconvenient would it be to not be able to do shit without "the stig character" when you can have any of the 4-5 guys around the track the know how to ride it do it in a jump suite.

Top Gear's 'The Stig' Revealed **Schumacher Revealed as The Stig (page 2)**
From Autoblog...
Certain mysteries aren't meant to be solved, and when it comes to the Stig, ignorance is bliss. But when we got a tip about Top Gear's top test driver caught walking around without his trademark white helmet, we were simultaneously skeptical and intrigued.
The Top Gear crew was caught on one of its legendary crap can races, this time with stripped-out compacts strapped to the roof, when someone wielding a video camera outside of the racetrack caught a glimpse of an unmasked driver wearing what is assumed to be the Stig's white racing suit and carrying a matching white helmet. The blurry shots appeared on Autoblog.nl (no relation) and the speculative efforts of the Dutch enthusiast community pegged the man behind the mask as ace test driver Tim Schrick.
Schrick has had his fair share of publicity, primarily doing reviews for a few German television shows (we've posted a video of him caning the Porsche Carrera GT after the jump), and although the screen captures above doesn't give us a clear view of Schrick (we think he looks a bit older), it's the most plausible theory available.
The question that always pops into our minds when we hear about another spotting of the Stig is whether Top Gear employs different drivers for different segments of the show. Jeremy, May and Hammond were on the set, so it's conceivable that Schrick is the "real" Stig, but unless other evidence is offered, we remain comfortable assuming that the Stig is part man, part machine and all bad-ass.

Multiple white stigs seems to be the consensus. There are a number of crazy thread on the internet where they compare the stig's stature from episode to episode. Apparently there was only 1 black stig though.
If there are multiple stigs they all seem to have extremely similar driving styles. I'm kind of with the theory that there's only one that does the driving. Possibly not the same person for all the weird stunts, like Stig takes the train to the airport etc.
