how do you replace lug nut bolts?

Ok, so I'm in the middle of my strut replacement project and find that the tire shop cross threaded one of the lug nuts on my front wheel. I was barely able to get it off and now I need to replace it. If I take the rotor off, are the lug nut bolts easily replacable or are they part of the rotor or something else?

It is a 97 3.2TL.

Thanks

yes the lug nut bolts(stud) are easy to get out. it'll probably be rusted in the rotor but with the use of a punch, you'll be able to get it out easy. Oh and spray some PB blaster to eat away some of that rust.

I found out the answer to my own question. The lug nut bolts / wheel studs are attached to the hub and you have to take the hub off to replace them. That is a little more than I want to tackle so off to the mechanic it goes.

If a mechanic can't get wheel studs off then he shouldn't be working on cars.
You do have to take the hub off. The studs are kinda pressed on, not that big of a deal to take off or put back in.
I just take my air hammer (or normal hammer) and smack it out, then smack in back in. It's not that hard, give it a whirl.

I could get the studs out if I had the hub off but I have a feeling the hub isn't too easy to get off. Am I wrong? Maybe it is easy. Plus, I don't have a wrench or a socket big enough for the hub nut.
