i need some insight the acura is not chargin the battery. so far i have tested the alternator and that passed. i replaced that battery just cause i am so rich and i could afford that $65 (that is my attempt at sarcarsim) but after some research i discovered that the ecu fuse #4 under the dash was blown. i replaced that fuse but it will blow again if i turn the ignition on. i have tried to test for short but have come up short. would that mean that the pcm is bad or ecm and which is which? i have a 98 cl 2.3 5 speed and am checking the pcm/ecm on the passenger kick panel. what is the stuff under the rug and that metal shield? help

under the rug behind the shield is the cars ECU...

thanks that is what i thought, but why would i be blowing the fuse could it be the ecm or that eld thing on the fuse box on firewall?

well i disconnected the conenctor from the alternator and the fuse will pop as soon as i turn on the ignition...

i also looked at the wiring diagram and the #4 fuse sure does connect to a lot of stuff for just 7.5 amps..

i got a bad feeling about this....
