AVIC N1 bypass complete
My brother (who i would say is the F*#@ing man) and i just completed the moving lockout bypass on my AVIC N1. We began by finding the green wire that runs from the head unit to the parking brake. He then cut it before the splice and placed it between the parking brake and the mechanism itself ( the mechanism is a plastic and metal piece that creates a circuit when the parking brake is activated). You will notice a hole in the parking brake lever that lets you access the screw to loosen the mechanism. Take the wire you cut that runs from the AVIC N1, strip the end, and place it between the mechanism and the parking brake itself. Use the screw to tighten the wire between the two and this will complete the circuit and make the head unit think that the parking brake is always on. Therefore you will have control of all the locked out functions while moving such as address search and dvd playback. This took a total of five minutes and is easier than you think. I was running version 1.2 pioneer navi disc and had no problems with all functions. We did a test run and got up to about 55mph and had no problems. I now love my AVIC N1 a million times more. No i will not be using this to distract myself form the task of driving, just to make the unit alot more usable in the real world. I will post pics tomorrow as it is now too dark to do so. Good luck and enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I did it without soldering or grounding anything and as i said it only took five minutes just alot of words to describe and at this point with all the bullshit you need to do to bypass an N2 i wouldn't even bother
