Honda Clarity
sliding under the radar, hopefully not because they're unsure about its reliability!
Any thoughts or experiences with it? I like the Chevy Volt concept and was considering it but axing makes the Clarity and perhaps the Prius the only such cars left.
The jewel-eye lights make it look not that different from Acuras. Deck out the interior and it's probably just as nice.
Main attraction for me is the Volt concept; enough battery to not need gas on a day to day basis, enough tank to not have to worry about range on any road trip.

Styling aside, the Clarity is a nice car. It feels and drives more premium than any of the other Honda sedans. The fuel cell hydrogen car especially feels like the future (infrastructure not included).

I always thought the 2G Volt wasn't a bad looking car on the exterior, but I've never been in one.
As far as 'hybrid' types go, it seems to work well. I forget specifics, but a guy on another forum I'm on has one & had tracked it's MPG/usage. He had a pretty hilariously low gallons used for miles driven.
College roommate worked at the same Chevrolet dealer I did when we were in college. He was still there when the 1G Volt came out & he remarked that it was an interesting experience to drive. Car practically just idles all the time. Punch the throttle & the revs rise a bit & it picks up speed. Don't think it really rev'ed above 1,500 RPM at WOT.
