I cant wait either. I did some playing around inside with them and the angles by aiming them both at the ceiling
The only thing I need to adjust is the main level. so its right even left to right while shining on the wall. Looks mint inside. Cant wait to see it on the car tonight

I just got home! Picked up a bottle of wine and plan to order pizza and pull the car in the garage now to take off the bumper and headlights and to mount these to aim them. Pics coming later tonight

So the retro can't continue until I get a set of lenses to close up the headlights! I need them to finalize clearance issues. I need any condition set of lenses. Just temporarily!! Who can help me out finish this

I'm sure a few of us keep checking back on this thread to see what's up....
Has anyone else wondered if the TLX LEDs would work better for a retrofit on the 3G? The MDX has a larger headlight housing, so I'm thinking that perhaps everything was packaged better/smaller when the TLX headlights were designed and that would make it better for a retrofit within the 3GTL headlight housing. I'm sure the heat sinks will still be large enough to protrude from the rear and it will still require an extensive mod, but perhaps it may be easier than the MDX? Or maybe the TLX/MDX share the same LED module on the inside?
In any case the TLX is brand new and I'm sure the headlights would cost an arm and leg. It'll probably take a couple years to get it down down to MDX prices.

Yea, no doubt, I thought the MDX lights would be in that range too but the price has come down dramatically this year. Don't you think the same will happen with the TLX lights given time?
Maybe someone who has bought the TLX and has owned a 3GTL will be able to chime in. How do the headlights look depth-wise when looking from inside the hood? Is it substantially longer than the 3G headlight?

Im officially finished all of the adjustment points ( up, down ) (left, right)
Next I just need to seal up the rear of the lights and do a minor adjustment with them on the car again to set the horizontal level.
Still looking for a driver side headlight lense

Looking great! Can't wait to see the completed project! You need some real pics though, not some phone camera
