Don't worry, they are not broken. Both of my sets and my brother's set came like that as well. I think it's just how they are designed. Like you said, they still fit really snug. We'll be waiting here for pics!

I did a quick search, and the only light I could find that sounded like what you're describing was an H4 bulb. Our cars do not take an H4 bulb, but thanks for the heads up!

VLEDs actually has a comparable one (H8 and others), at 2100 lumens and for a price of $130 (!).

Twice the price, and less lumens? I'll pass!

They're available at Autolumination.com or http://www.superbrightbulbs.com/headlights.htm

About 1/4th down the screen they show the 3rd, 4th and 5th Gen Cree bulbs.

It looks like both sites are owned by the same person/company.

So $140 for the lights + $10 for shipping (5-10 business days) = $150. If someone wants to pay 234% more money for a 33% increase in lumens, AND have to mess with mounting a ballast somewhere, AND wait 5-10 days for them to arrive, then by all means. Personally, I'll stick with my Frosty Fogs.

I agree whole heartily. I'd never pay that much even for 3000lu LED's. I'd probably just get an HID kit either in 3000k or 5000k for under $50 and still have 3000lu.

Looking at the light shining off the garage with just the 9006 foglamps on the cutoff to me isn't impressing me at all. My halogen or HIR bulbs had nearly as sharp a cutoff as my Low beam HID. In fact, my foglamp cutoff is actually lower than my low beam HID, but much wider

Awesome! And yes, 9005 is the correct size for the '07-'08 DRLs.

Ordered mine on monday, still haven't got them. Hopefully they show up today.

Frosty, the only email i ever got was the confirmation of the order, do they normally send you tracking info or an email telling you they shipped?

Thanks

They should send you an email with the tracking info. It comes from Offroad Lighting if I recall correctly.

Mine arrived yesterday so I'll be installing at some point this weekend and snapping some comparison pics with my Nokya fogs for those that asked

So tempted to replace both my DRL and fogs w/ these. I hate the yellow look of my current DRLs and fogs.

What bulbs would I need for each on 08 TL-S?

Thanks in advance....

That almost sounds like your order went through on the GT Lighting site, but your actual payment didn't go through on the merchant site. I would email the seller (gtlighting@hotmail.com) to make sure they received your payment. All 4 sets that I've ordered have arrived within 2 days.

OK got my LEDs today and I am sorry to say that they are not plug and play for H3, H1. You got to butcher the connector to make them work or buy a harness. I chose the second route...

Sorry to hear about your fitment issues with the H1 and H3 connections. I suppose the socket connectors may vary slightly from car-to-car. Even though I had a set of H1's, I can't comment on the connections because it turns out that the SRX fogs need H10, not H1 (whoops). I sent the H1's back, and the H10's will be here tomorrow. I'll post pics after they're installed.

I'm not sure if the H1s and/or H3s have a high/low function or not. I know the H4s do though.

Houston, we have a problem, despite the claim of being H1, these are clearly NOT H1 bulbs...

way too long to fit in housing and not even the right base to top it all off so they will not work regardless.

Honestly, your old bulb does not look like an H1 at all. Are you sure that's what you needed? Check out this diagram and this Sylvania bulb guide. I think you needed 9007 for the "Dual Beam Headlight Bulb" as Sylvania calls it.

Looks like a 9004 or 9007 to me.

Just so you guys know, the Osram Sylvania bulb replacement guide is not 100% correct.

There has been a couple of cars that I've searched to find bulb sizes and the interior bulb size that is listed on the website would be completely different than what's actually in the car. I'm sure the same can happen to exterior turn signals, brake lights, head lights.

Some bulbs actually have the bulb type printed on it. Try looking around the base of the bulb you might see the text that has the bulb type and wattage as well as manufacturer name on it.

Come on man, you looked it up and said the same thing I did H1/H3 so the bulbs do not match. I have the pix, what else do you need? that is the bulb I pulled directly out of the headlamp housing

I did a quick search on the Sylvania bulb guide, and it looks like the '03 Legacy uses an H3 bulb for the fogs. So you could replace both your main headlights (H1), as well as your fog lights (H3) with these LEDs.
http://www.sylvania.com/en-us/applic...n.aspx#fldYear

so either these are not H1 bulbs or the lighting guide is wrong. I know what my VIN says for my car, 2003 Legacy Limited Edition Sedan.

Looked on Napa and they show similar results. Anyways we once I figure out what bulbs these are, I we can just swap them out. for the right ones.

Finally yanked the bulb and it states
EIKO DOT
HB5 9007 12V 65/55W

So the lighting guide was wrong...

I just asked the seller and he said 9007 should be available within a couple months. You could probably get an adapter harness to make one of the other ones work if you didn't want to wait.

H1 usually for fogs as I know
2003 Legacy uses HB5 for heads which is 9007
You need 9007

You need 9007
this is what the lighting guide states (IMHO this is for the GT and not the Limited)

Fog Light Bulb H3
High Beam Headlight Bulb 9005
Low Beam Headlight Bulb H1

only the GT has separate high/low beam bulbs If I buy some GT headlamp housings, then I could use these for low beam...

That just proves my point. Osram sylvania website is not 100% accurate.

If you have access to the car its best to check it first yourself. If you don't have access to said vehicle than use autozone or oreilly website to look up your vehicle bulb size and see if it matches with Sylvania website

I'll wait it out,

If you do not mind, ask him how do I go about returning these? I am keeping the H3 bulbs for the fogs

Awesome!

Must say I am impressed! These were way brighter than my HIDs! They are also whiter than my 5k hids which is great because they look a lot cleaner and match the OEM HIDs near perfect! Thank you Frosty for this great find

I got the lights today. It was a pain to get the existing fogs out as they were really stuck in there. They are very close in color to the stock HID's. Thanks for the heads up!

did anyone elses led bulb not fit in snug? i can still move mine around a bit and i can get it to fit in a couple different ways. right now its horizontal, which i think is correct but i can also get it to fit vertically. looking at the instructions, it show the plug on the bottom when installed. when i try to put it in with the plug on the bottom, it wont snap in at all. right now the plug is a the 5 oclock position, looking at it from the back.

im installing this in an accord btw, so its the same bulb. its says 9005/6 on it.

I would just send them back with your name and purchase date. Let him know that you need 9007.

im installing this in an accord btw, so its the same bulb. its says 9005/6 on it.
If the accord fog housing is anything like the TL's, it's kind of a strange design how the bulb twists in. There are 3 screws that the bulb tabs go behind when you twist it into place. Make sure those screws are in all the way for the tightest fit. My plugs are facing up and in towards the engine (both sides).

Thanks for the quick reply. I got it in nice and tight now. I just grab the heat sink and twist it as hard as I can. I was afraid it'll break but it didn't
Anyways I have it where the light is horizontal, I backed up about 5 feet and light is scattered everywhere. Worst than my hids. Do I still have it on incorrectly? Are the LEDs suppose be on top of each other? Which I how I have mine right now. Or are they left and right of each other?
