3G TL Shaking/vibrating during acceleration

Hello, guys.

This been happening for some time now. Under light acceleration only till 40 i believe the car shakes or seems like it heistates, its very hard to notice , but it seems like the rpms kinda bounce.. hard to explain.

Maybe bad motor mounts?

Currently has 128k. Spark plugs been changed. 105k service is being completed next week( I know i am a little late).

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Check my thread thats going on over in the 3G problem section. Im getting something similar from my 08 Type S 6spd. No check engine light, besides the shaky/lurching acceleration the car runs flawlessly. Perfectly smooth idle and gets very good fuel economy. Its been to the dealership twice and they agknowledged feeling the shakiness but continue to tell me nothing is wrong with the car and wont do anything for me. So unfortunately im on my own on this one. Its not horrible by any means and the car can still be driven normally its just something I feel and I know its there. Its most noticeable going through 3rd gear during normal acceleration only. Since the dealership is useless I think monday im going to order Autotap diagnostic software and monitor what all the sensors are doing in the car. From my searches on this issue some of the things that come up often are:
-IAT sensor (intake air temp)
-EGR
-02 sensors
-APP (pedal position sensor) *I think
-Knock sensor

My car is a 08 6mt Type S 45K miles

If you're in MD, might want to swing by J&D auto in gaithersburg. Thats my local mechanic. decent prices and good techs. They primarily deal with honda/acuras.

try to neturalize the motor mounts and as well inspect them for wear, esp the vacuum lines that run to them.

Also you might want to have a mechanic check out the suspension components (bushings and such) and as well axles, half shafts, etc.

Its the torque converter in the tranny.my tl does the same thing the dealer told me 3500 to fix so I just try and pay it no attention. Plus if u put ur foot down it does not happen at all.

My 2005 Acura RSX also has vibration on initial acceleration. I have a feeling it could be due to the skunk 2 coil adjustable overs but it may be the mounts. Any idea on how to check?

I have a 2002 RSX AT and it vibrates through first gear. IF I keep it from going down to second it is fine. Transmission shop told me it was the motor mounts, but I don't want to spend $300 if it is something else. Anyone have any ideas? Is it the mounts?

Really guys? You've taken these issues to the dealers and they haven't been able to figure it out?

Shaking under acceleration is a classic sign of the inner joint on the CV axle going bad. And I mean.... classic. That should have been the first thing they looked at (and then motor mounts next).

It could also be wheels out of balance or bent wheels, but first place I'd check is the inner joint of the CV (pro tip: you can buy a complete, new, CV cheaper than you can an inner/outer joint)

You need to check for dtc's. Sometimes there are codes stored but no check engine light is on. Sounds like an app sensor problem to me. Easy fix if it is.
