Make a long story short, some guy in a quattrosporte ( im assuming the base model, not the S) starts reving his engine at me while im cruising at 60 mph. So he gets on it a couple of times next to. It sounded really good, im assuming it was stock, but also assuming that it should walk me. So I said what the hell and dropped it in 3rd gear next to him and we both punched it together............I put about 3 car lengths on him at about 100mph then he kind of just stayed there. I raced him 3 times and it was the same result everytime. I felt pretty fu**ing good, because here he is with a $100,000 car losing to a CL-S. Finally we got at a light, he decided to turn off! Thats where he probably would of got me because I have no traction in 1st and 2nd but oh well, he wont think he's bad anymore.... by the way I have I/H/E/deleted cat/light weight pulleys/stat

Yeah . . .that Maserati probably isn't worth anywhere near $100k anymore their depreciation is horrendous. All the maintenance cost of a Ferrari and not the performance. Nice win regardless I would have been lmao at the guy lol.

I still watch it. John Salley is gone and its only 30 minutes(20) after commercials. Video's on Matt Farah's smoking tire are better tho.

I don't watch top gear us tho something about the hosts I just can't stand.

The worst is motorweek. The hosts voice is the worst plus show sucks.


Back to topic, I have never seen anyone in a quattroporte ever drive even reasonably fast. Wonder how hard he pushed it.

I don't think this is TOO unbelievable. 3 cars may be pushing it but I dont doubt the CL can keep up with one from a roll or the right speed. I ran one in 2nd gear pre-blower and was suprised that I actually pulled a fender on him

The guy in the video is an idiot. He should go to driving school. Back to your encounter... there are several things that dont add up. The Maserati numbers to 0-60seem to be in the low 5 sec to mid 4 sec. 1/4 mile numbers seem to be low 13's to high 12 sec. Questions: What mods do you have? Was he really racing you? or was this a dream race?

With those mods he cant even beat my car. I have a 6spd SC'ed CL-s with other mods that definetively would place some car lengths b/w his car and mine. I know that I can't beat that Maseratti. I know that I would be close behind him. I trap in the qt mile b/w104-106MPH at 13.7-13.9 sec. depending on launching tech. So his story is not believable.

Well it is believable because we raced a couple of times and I walked him everytime. But what you dont relize is that I obviously raced him from a roll not from a dead stop. From a stop I agree he should take me, but our cars do a lot better from a move
