I know the 09+ has a different gate/shifter vs the 05-08...
I also already know the 09+ lets you change gears via the paddle shifters even when not in "sport mode"... and you can't use the stick/shifter to select gears on teh 09 like you canon the 05-08.....

here is what I DON'T know... is the 09-10 transmission otherwise the SAME as an 05-08? boht are 5AT transmissions... but are the gears the same? is the transmission programming teh same?

how about shifts - are they the same or can the new transmission change gears more quickly?

just wondering, if aside from the shifter and ability to select gears while in drive mode - is the actual transmisssion on the 09-10 any better than an 05-08 or is it really just the same system?

i know the 2011 has a 6AT... not asking about that. focusing on whethe the 5AT in the newer 2G is really any better.. like quicker shifts? less hesitation? or is it the same...

I think the tranny is the same, maybe slightly different programming to make it quicker. There's a bit more power from the engine too.
