New House and Awesome Garage

New House and Awesome Garage
This past weekend my BF and I bought a house in Webster, MA.
The basics:
Raised Ranch
1950 Sq ft
2 bedrooms
1 office (which will likely be used as a bed room)
2.5 baths
3-4 stall garage
Since this is a car forum I'll start with the pictures of the Garage. The garage is heated vicariously.... Basically the hot water pipes run though and heat it. Its usually about 60* when the heat is on real low.
Its been really snowy and we've been busy unpacking so I haven't had a chance to take any new pics but these are the ones the owner used when listing the house. (aka... I have much better furniture

Nice, Is there inside access to the garage? I think I would put some foam around that post in the middle of the garage.

Yes there's inside access. I agree about the foam. I'm also going to consider putting some on the wall near where I would get out of my car. Although I have plenty of room on either side of the car I am worried about someone else being careless and hitting my doors.

Wow! That is totally different. When I was reading the opening "stats" on the house, I was not too interested. But the pics show the house very well- I love the cathedral ceilings and open floor plan. Looks like a fun and neat house. Congrats!
As for that garage....wow again
Different but to have that much space is way cool. It kinda reminds me of city parking garage- drive in and it opens up. Was the previous owner a car guy? Single?

On paper the house seems small and boring which probably isn't going to help with the resale. But with a garage like that I don't care. lol. We almost didn't go and look at the house b/c it only had the one garage door but once I got inside and realized I had to buy this house.
The guy who owned it before built it and was the only one living there until his girl friend moved in recently. He drove an avalanch as his DD and he mentioned something about having a corvette parked in there but I think it might have been his brothers

Hongda when you moving in... Its got a half bath in the room/office right next to it. Its all yours for the right price
The garage doesn't have a drain and I'm kind of upset about that and trying to find a way to fix the problem. All the snow and ice that melts off our cars from the commute stays in the garage until it evaporates or we push it out with a brush.
I've got a friend with a couple of Porsches and a GTR I'm trying to talk him into renting one of the stalls just so i can have a super car in my garage lol.
We finally took some of our on photos so I'll probably have those up in a little while

The living room set isn't cheap at all. Its actually a really nice leather set that we just bought. Its very contemporary which is the style my boyfriend and i like.
so yeah some of it is cheap and tacky, and it will slowly be replaced as we can afford it.

Only the garage pics are showing up for me, but it looks pretty neat. I would make some of that space into a "fun room" or something like that. Also you might want to insulate your water pipes, I know they heat the garage a little but you could do that with a small space heater if need be instead of making the water heater work harder.

Wow. You must have never purchased your own place. Most people who buy their first place put everything into the purchase leaving little for other things. New furniture will come in time.
