I agree, and I believe most others would too about the dark theme. That's why I made the switch. I was tempted to repaint them white instead of gunmetal. Ill always love white wheels at heart. Being the one that has to clean them, I think I made the best decision.
Plus, you'll hear way more often "You should do black wheels." Verse, "You should get some white wheels."
So that annoyance factor has already noticeably diminished. Some non-tuners just thought white wheels were strange. Weirdos.
I'll spruce up my page with a little German Engineering and a little rice on the side.
Quick shot while rolling through Studio City yesterday. Love the Rotiforms on this S4. Roti-love all day.

Wow that Audi did a great job on wheel choice and fitment. Looks great. I wouldn't drive a regular wagon, but I'd rock that thing.

They are Rotiform 3piece LHRs
I love the design around the center cap. Gorgeous wheels. Makes me want to step lip my works even more.

I think that is how the ILX should have come. What are the designers at Acura thinking. Heads in their assessment I swear. If they made the tlx proportions and overhang similar to my shop it would be a real game changer.

NOOO!! NO NO NO! Get outa town with that jive!! hahaha
They got dirty so quick and that plastidip!
I really cant decide between fixing the camber to bring the top of the wheel close to the fender or getting 25mm spacers.
Camber kit will cost about twice as much, I have never installed or even adjusted a camber kit on my own. I was always fine with natural camber in previous cars. But it will eliminate the mild extra tire wear I am seeing. In my opinion it wont look as good as spacers because I do like how some neg camber looks.
Spacers will be cheaper, but apply more, if minimal, stress to the suspension components. As well, after speaking with OSU, Im sure it will rub slightly... especially since my offset pits the lips 7mm closer to the fender as is.
Maybe I'll just find someone to grind down my wheel studs 5mm then I can run my existing 20mm spacers, only having to pay for the grinding. Then the fitment will be near exact to what OSU is seeing.
Decisions decisions.
Basically, I know spacers will be cheaper and look better, but camber correction is the correct way to go about it.

Thank you!
haha Thanks. Honestly not enough for me. My valley doesn't have a huge enthusiast following. Well not one that I really fall into.
Decent crowd of Scion I always see at various parking lots but the rides are always very ricey imo.
As well the other small meets I see tend to be riddled with the burn out types, thieves, and more ricers so I tend to not see much interest in my car.
In the last month I have had one guy comment how low I was and how hard it is for him to get around in his lowered 91 civic. That was all.
Recent shot of the rear because I never take these.
Ive decided against using spacers to widen the rear to match the front more. Instead I'll be purchasing a camber kit at some point which will pull the top of the tire toward the fender making it look more like the front does here which looks perfect IMO and maintain the functionality I currently have. Then I will be picking up a new rear sway bar, preferably 22mm, and some small (yes near pointless mods) like the p2r throttle body spacers and pull out the air resonator for a better ducting system. Also want to look into installing a new self powered sub that I can quickly hook up to add some additional bass to the system.
From there chances are I will be saving up to redo the wheels. Powder coating and some stepped lips to go from 18x8 +38 to 19x9 +13ish. Also plan on replacing all old work hardware with new work hardware at the same time. Either the 24k gold or polished bolts/stem. Fender rolling and front camber kits will be handled as to fit the slightly more aggressive specs. Will attempt to stay around 225 on 9in wide wheels shouldnt be too bad.

I saw a white ILX you might want to add on there, or maybe the ILX lounge. I'm not that techy or I would just do it myself, it's a pet peeve of mine when people try to tell you to do something, when clearly they could do that shit themselves... WTF?. Anyway, it has some XXR reps of a design that I have seen in CCW wheels... I don't know if CCW is considered a rep company also tho...

Thanks!! Great coming from you since your TL is on point!
There are a couple really nice ILXs out there but I am really happy with how mine looks in comparison.
Thank you sir!! Hows your ILX treating you? Still running strong I assume. How many states has that thing seen now?!
And yes I am still running it. The ILX community has really slowed down. There is one ILX I have been really wanting to post, as well maybe 2 that have asked to get a shout out that I have not responded to yet. But it is just dead. I search multiple sources a day for anything new going on. Not much and I hate to hassle other owners for pictures of their cars. I tend to get like 1 shot in response and they tend to be pretty poor quality.
I think I know which one your talking about. His name on IG is like Havez or something along those lines. If so they are indeed CCW reps by XXR.
I would not call CCWs reps because they are made to order and the designs are pretty basic without trying to rip off any one specific wheel.

Looking into a few things.
I laughed out loud when I saw the price of the TBS. No way in hell I would pay near $100 for that piece of aluminum. I'm good, I don't ball that hard yet. hahaha
Interested in the Progress 22mm RSB. Thinking about upgrading to some lighter/nicer looking RCAs as well. Good idea to replace both at the same time. Not going with the beaks style brace any longer. I'll stick with my Megan tie bar. I dont see the need at this point for any front bracing or larger sway so that will remain stock.
Definitely want to upgrade the ducting for my intake so that and the rear suspension pieces will be next but not for a few months Im figuring.
If anyone is looking to sell a P2R TSB for a 2006+ civic Id be willing to pay $60 tops used. Don't care about color.

When I went to Ballade sports, the mechanic said they would Hondata and all day dyno for $695 and $375. And I would probably need a valve adjustment at $200 prior to that.... This is actually one of the better offers I've gotten so far, although someone did offer me Hondata for $600. This is why I did the suspension braces first, Im trying to get low and flush next. I was able to get more bang for my buck doing suspension first. Some parts are just more cost effective. So my advice on bracing from the mechanic at Ballade Sports - he told me the rear and front lower tie bars would make a difference, and the X-brace MIGHT as well, obviously Rear sway will. He did not recommend front sway. So - in your case, to not waste cash as I may have, I would recommend the following - front lower tie bar (it's pretty cheap, depending on brand $40-100), Rear sway of your choice, and yeah fuck it try out some RCA's. What companies were you looking at? I wouldn't mind some reviews from the first to do it. At some point I want to get a rear camber kit. Buddy club just came out with one for the 2012+ SI so I may do that. Don't know if camber wear is an issue for you. If so, I'd recommend that too, but all the good brand ones I've seen are pricey.
#675
I would NOT recommend Xbrace or trunk brace at this point for others. Front and rear lower tie bars don't require diffuser trimming but the Xbrace does, and now I have some kind of rubbing issue/loose diffuser issue I need to resolve.

Aomechmarine - You see what Vit would offer for flashpro+tune (I Know it's an e-tune for out-of-staters but he's done SO many 2012-2014 Civic Si's (and a couple ILX's including mine) that it's a walk in the park for the guy? Question - why would you need a valve adjustment?? How many miles you got on that sucker? That would be covered under warranty if you have some misfires going on or something.

Well I'm not against an e-tune. Although every individual car is slightly different, a generic tune/MAP program from cars with more or less the same setup should work well enough. I was mostly just saying I'm shopping around right now for the best deal I can get. 9K racing wanted either $695 or $795 just for flashpro, and $1000 to tune! WTF! Ballade sports seem legit, I believe he was saying that I would need the valve adjustment to make sure the timing is set up to handle the extra stuff now going on with the I/H/E setup. He wasnt pushing it seemed more like a precautionary thing. But again, thats why Im putting it out there to get 2nd opinions and maybe even a good/better or price/hookup.
