Matt's Blacked out TL Lowered on Vossen CV3's (Matts Acura)

So I bought my TL tech/base back in April. I was undecided about keeping it after I bought it so I held off on doing stuff to it. It grew on me and after seeing some peoples TL's I can see a lot of potential in the looks department.

Sooo..... I figured I would start up a progress thread!

Here the TL a few days after I bought it. Had the windows tinted before I drove it off the lot so no before shots of it. I also bought the lip for the front and put that on a few days later. Then took a few pictures.

Painted the Bezel black and went with the Chrome grill option.

I already posted this up before but figured I would consolidate,

My vinyl carbon fiber wrapped grill. Its held up great!

NIce. Curious to know why you were initially undecided about keeping it?

It was more of a HP thing I guess. It was really hard getting use to how much less HP it had. I had a Chrysler 300C SRT8 and was rocking close to 500HP so there was a dramatic difference in how I had to drive the car. It took about a month or 2 to get use to the difference. I really enjoy the car now though.

I sort of wished I would have just bought the SH model but in the end I wasn't really looking for a high performance vehicle, I wanted something that looked cool, was really nice on the inside, had all of the new car features, decent gas mileage (vs. 13-16mpg) and was reliable. I got all of those out of the acura so I'm happy.

Yea, I wish I would have just bought the complete kit but... Like an impatient ass I went and just bought the lip. I'm going to definitely go with the full kit though. I just didn't have the cash at the time since I had just got the car.

Its Florida Legal, I think 35% in front and 15% rear.

I like the Chrome also. Doesn't really match with the direction I'm going though so I'm gonna stick with my carbon fiber wrap.

Looking good man! I considered doing CF vinyl on my grille as well but decided against. Though I'm happy with the direction I chose I like yours as well. It looks good on CBP.

I love those wheels. I can't believe Acura ditched those for the current (IMO fugly) 18" wheels.

I had just finished washing the car, it kinda looks like rust but it goes away when you drive and use the brakes once.

I did it like 2 weeks ago. I used nightshades on the reflector. I don't really like the look of it with the reflector removed since the bulb is just chillin there all exposed.

My progress thread is more like an abridged version, I already had some stuff done before starting it.

They Are 20" Vossen CV3's. 9" +35 Offset and rear is 10.5 +42 offset I believe.

Yea I lowered it but I went the cheap route and just did the TEIN S Tech. It was exactly what I was looking for.

Sort of, I did just blacked them out with the CBP paint and put some High powered LED's behind the projectors for a future project. No TSX lenses or cut off shields though. I might do them in the future but I'm getting a heat gun first. The oven bake for the headlight was really inconvenient and made the house smell like burnt plastic.

Sunday morning photo's!

Nice looking ride Matt. You can put more than one or two pictures in a single thread too. There's no need to add multiple posts. Just put all your responses and/or pictures into a single post.

have mixed feelings about the pin stripe.. i feel as if you made it gunmetal pin strip it will match the car better than if it was just white like you have it now.
