Care to elaborate a little more on that part?

Also, is there any difference between the Base and Type S bumpers apart from the angle of the fog light area? I feel like I already lost that anyway with this lip causing the whole area to be rounded. I kind of think Arthur's looks more aggressive.

haha thanks. yea those guys were ripping you a new one with being "high"...too bad that's about what i'm running right now too. do you have any idea what damping level you are at even though you can't adjust it?

Dude, if you NEED to find something to fix, I'll help you but your sh*t looks perfect. His image is broken on my work computer for some reason but your car looks plenty aggressive.

What I meant was, get under there and press and move the lip around, tighter here or there...maybe add more double sided tape, or drill a hole big enough to run another couple of zip ties from below. It's not a science, but you'll get it tight enough eventually. I'd rather keep the original bumper that belongs on the car.

Haha, the great thing about coils is being able to put it at whatever height you want, high or low. Other benefit is that the ride quality feels much better too, not floaty like springs can feel.

I think my dampers are set pretty firm. The guy said he used to run them between 1 and 6 clicks from firm front and back. I like the solid feel of it, but when I get the parts to adjust, I'll probably try softening it up a bit. Still think I'll try 10 in back, 8 in front. If I don't like it, I'll go back to firm. But I haven't had any issues like you were describing in your thread. Potentially due to it being on the firm side.

Photos hide the dirty secret....passenger side is popped out quite a bit. Driver side is good overall, but the passenger side drives me nuts. What I'm not sure about is how I could add those zip pulls and make them stay. The lip fits so damn tight to the bumper that I can't imagine a way to properly secure them without them popping off. I tried extra double sided tape when I installed in originally, as well as twice since then, but to no avail.

The rest of the car is so clean, and that lip just bugs me the way its not flush.

I have decided lately that I do like the Type S front lip more than I used to, but its still more expensive a proposition that I'm looking for. If I found a used one, I'd probably go for it tho. Anyone selling???

How come the base front lips on the photo below are different? One is solid color while another has an extra "lip" on it (black piece)...different years?

And is the only difference between the S and non-S bumpers the fog lights? That's it?

Yup, the 04-06 A-Spec lip has that gray plastic trim. Looks like that guy made his black though. 07-08 base doesn't have the gray section.

And the base bumper must be shaped just slightly different from the Type S, which would cause the base A-Spec lip to not fit perfectly snug. But besides that, and the angle of the fog lights, I don't see any difference. Maybe someone else knows if there is any.

Took advantage of the oddly nice weather and did a quick wash, wax, and interior detail. Seats are looking pretty nice now.

Any ideas on how clean the OEM all weather floor mats? They kinda look nasty in an otherwise nice interior.

The rubber mats? You can just wash them with a mild soap. Use the spray hose you use to wash the car and a brush if needed.

Take them off the car, lay them down flat on the ground and spray away.

Some self-serve car washes have clips on the walls to hang your floor mats to spray wash them.

I used what I've been using for a long time now, its the stuff Turtle Wax uses when you bring it in for their professional detailing. I think once it gets warm again next year, I'm going to get some of the really good stuff.

What I need to do is spend some time in the Wash n Wax section to figure out exactly what that is. I could also use some more knowledge about polishing and whatnot. The extent of what I do for the outside is wash - clay bar - wax. I'm missing that polishing step since I don't really know what to do.

As for the mats, I did that a few months ago while they were out of the car, but they still don't look that great. I just want them to get that black look again. Granted the flash of the camera is intensifying how bad it is, they don't look that bad in person, but I feel like they could use some kind of product....

you should get weather tech floor mats fit like a glove and great in the winter way better than oem!

Haha, got those too. I don't love the way they look tho, a little work truck feeling to me. They definitely offer the best protection tho.

You could try some armor all or one of those products out there that restores the black plastic parts of bumpers, which always get worn out and fade under the sun and weather...just make sure it's ok to use on the mat material, so it doesn't end up cracking it.

HHaha, that's what I did. Currently have the OEM all weathers on top of the weather techs. Seems to be a nice combo I think.

That's exactly what I ended up doing. Remembered I had some stuff for that and tried it. So far so good.

First Anniversary

Well, today officially marks one year I've had this car. Gotta say, I love it even more than the day I brought it home.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Maybe it's the angle, but the V looks small compared to the Type S.

Thanks Austin. And Steven, I'm thinking it must be the angle, I'd say they are actually very similar in size. Under the hood tho, that's a different story. That V is a beast.

Wow, thanks man, Great first post IMO!

But haha, not sure exactly what has been spent, sometimes it seems better not to think about it. Biggest things were definitely A-Spec lip kit and coilovers. Not surprising, those two things probably made the biggest visual impact.

Got myself an early Christmas present this morning! Caught the Griot's polishing kit on today's Amazon Lightning deal! Never had anything like this before, but I'll finally be able to start truly detailing! Time to learn all about polishing, sealing, etc...

I'm really looking forward to it. I've never used any of their stuff, or done any professional level polishing like this. I have a lot to learn, but I can't wait to try it out.
