The engine cover is Gunmetal, and the Valve cover is painted SSM.. The shadow does play tricks a little

Hayden, I like the Carbon Fiber front sway bar. I wanted to do that to mine, but I've got logo's on mine now, so I can't do it.

What are the paint everyone is using and recommends? With my anthracite exterior, I want the anthracite look on the engine bay with carbon fiber sway bar. Anyone know what the price on the CF look?

i ended up doing this...im playing around with the colors bc i do like the gold, blue on blue and red...so i just decided to go for red to see how it looks and my interior is red as well... i havent touched the actual engine cover yet but am thinking about making it blue since it has the red "3.5" strip and am getting a red rv6 sway bar... i always loved the red/blue mix... but im open to opinions...
here is my interior..

I purchased a 24" by 24" for 9.99 on eaby, it was enough to to sway bar, and a few other parts.. You will need more than that to do all the plastic trim under the hood.. the seller on ebay is rvinyl_inc

you can see in the hood gaps but i didnt know if it bothered me or not...either way it was with the theme with car. Type S in red, red tail lights...would probably look good with some red lugs and type R acura symbols but those are almost impossible to find at a decent price...

I took too everyone's advice and painted a portion of that front engine cover to go with the rest of the bay. I don't have a backup of it, and LIKE the abilbity to go back to stock, so my solution was to paint it with 3 coats of plastidip first...then painted it with the copper color and 2 coats of clear. Taped off and did it...when I pulled tape off though, it kinda pulled some of the edges up because of the plastidip...but, no worries, was able to carefully use a razor and cut a straight line around the whole thing. Not perfect, but came out pretty nicely.
Let me know what you all think!

Rockstar, looking good man. that extra painted part was the missing piece of the puzzle. came out looking awesome!
Tyler, i think its about time you posted up some pics of what you got going on under your hood. i think it looks pretty nice. but i wanna see more im sure others on here do too.
p.s. we dont mind the red intake that doesnt match

^^^only helps make the top of your strut accessible so you can adjust your dampening. I drilled holes in mine to put an allen wrench in.
jptl...thanks man...yeah, believe it or not, your push to do it was one that resonated in my head. I kept looking at it thinking...it looks unfinished. Also painted the intake cover black...made a HUGE difference in the look.

the oem bar is a super thin and hollow one piece design. the RV6 bar is a 3 piece design made of way thicker metal. with "C" shaped brackets utilizing the same mounting holes and a solid aluminum bar. i would side on the RV6 bar as far as strength. it was basically designed to allow clearance for the mounting of EDFC motors with those running Tien suspensions. but i guess anyone wanting it could also run it

Silver RV6 strut bar is going on the car tomorrow. Hopefully the red intake will become a different color sometime soon.
