Engine and TVs light has come and the code is P0740 torque converter clutch solenoid circuit. What does this mean and what are my options. Am I ok to drive until its fixed?

it means the trans is probably on its way out
how does the fluid look and smell?
year and miles?
see other trans failure threads for symptoms like flashing d5 light on dash or slipping-revving between gear changes,,slams into gear etc
you can drive it right until it stops shifting~
then drop in a junkyard accord/odessey trans

That's how much I paid for get it rebuilt few years ago (~$2k). It's not worth another one. I love this damn car so I'm going to ride it 'till she dies.

where did you get a rebuild for 1300 and what did it include?
averages across the country where labor is high, 2000-2500-even seen 28 and 2900!!!
insane how shops will screw the unknowing
the used oddy/accord trans option is a good deal to keep the TL running
for as little maitenance and probs we have to spend money on,
the 105 and the trans are the big 2 budget killers
average out the cost over months and its not so bad,...it cost 50 bucks a month maitenance to enjoy,,,and you dont pay that each month ,,

^^^ Yeah, look around some more as ErickUa5 previously advised.
The "AV6" is basically an updated bolt-in replacement for our TL's. Not a hard job for a skilled shop.
While the time may vary, it's less than an 8 hour job. Most folks pay about $500 for installation labor, depending on what all else turns up. Buy a case of Honda DW1 fluid, the spin-on ATF filter, main seal gasket, mounts and any solenoids to save money on extra misc. stuff.
