There were no available tires at that time. I guess it's a good thing knowing that the rims has more protection.?

Myron was it vietboi that totalled his car? Whoever it was though, that really sucks to hear.
I discovered some scrapes on my front bumper after washing yesterday and it hurt to look at. Luckily clear-bra took most of the beating and it should buff out.

you wont rub on stock height with 245s no way. Even if you were lowered you wouldn't rub. I am running 235s with 20mm spacers in the back and 15mm in the front and I am lowered and I don't rub

Hmm I don't think I've ever seen edmontonoilers guy post. Vietboi is another one of those TL'ers that are modded but aren't on acurazine. Tsk tsk.

With the nicer weather upon us, I'm seeing the summer cars come out to play. Spotted a white and grey GT-R, 2 m5's, and a white e46 m3 with CSL trunk. This was all on Saturday. There is somebody that drives a grey GT-R year around. I see him plowing through the snow like nobody's business. What a boss.

@Ricky, I'll shoot you a pm when I get the mirrors. I hope I don't get any issues with my wheel fitment after it gets lowered so I can buy those mirrors. I'm going to install the A-spec on sunday with Myron

no that wasn't me. But I do see a lot of TLs with a-spec kits around now days. Last summer I maybe saw 2 of them, one black one and one gold one that a 50+ year old woman was driving. 6mt too.

Lol teh fux? That woman has some style.

Arthur did it take you a long time for the whole order process to go through with acktl? I contacted him a few days ago asking for TPMS hoping I could get them asap. Still nothing on a paypal payment request or anything.

It didn't take that long, probably two to three days. Maybe he is just busy, just don't hesitate to pm him again. He is a cool dude.

Lol I've PM'ed him 3 times giving him my e-mail. I might just order from a different vendor if he doesn't get back to me soon.

Raj I spotted you today in your red tsx around 4, turning onto west whitemud. You were behind me in the turning lane. I waved but don't know if you knew it was me lol.

Wow really? I don't know about that. Yea try the other vendors.

I lowered the car today and it looks amazing. I can't tell the difference from stock suspension(ride quality wise). I thought I will not experience rubbing issues but I did when my two friends sat at the back. I might use 20mm at thé front and 15mm at the back.

My name is Tony, I'm am originally from Northwest side of Edmonton before I moved to a small town couple years ago but I am moving back to Edmonton this summer (: also i usually visit Edmonton once a month . I drive a 06 TL NBP (non-navi). i have planned to put some exhuast, rims, and some other small things in the future. right now i've only clear my headlights and put switchback,ZKW-R lenses on them and tinted my tail lights and side markers, i've also put some led inside car and some led on the license plate and backup lights. Here is a quick picture of my car! (:

Edmua6 seen your car today looked sick. Seen it at south gate.

Ichinese, did you clear your lights yourself? I want someone to help me do mine that has done theirs. Let me know if you're down

Yes Arthur post pics of the drop! Or if you're doing the a-spec kit tmr post those pics instead lol.

Clean NBP Tony. Yeah like Myron asked did you DIY for clearing headlights? I just want to open mine up and remove the amber since mine already have clear diffusers inside (I'm pretty sure). Did you have any troubles installing the zkw-r lens? How's the cutoff?

Myron, did you park near my car or you saw it while driving by?

Vincent, I'll try to get pictures tomorrow when the a-spec and exhaust gets done.

iChinese, welcome!

I drove to west ed today and I'm immune to my rubbing issues now.

No there is no clear diffuser in there man, just amber/clear one. If you take that one out, then you won't have one. You have to buy clear diffusers but they are like 100+$ from a vendor here.

No I was leaving southgate mall and I seen your car there so I drove past it so I can see it better haha Kind of creepy but I love those wheels so I had to see them. My gf thought I was weird.

then i seen a white TL with black roof at a red light and I was asking him where he got it done and he was asking me where I got the a-spec from. She thought that was weird too haha

Ahh correction type-s headlights have clear diffusers

https://acurazine.com/forums/car-parts-sale-361/07-08-tl-type-s-blacked-out-cleared-headlights-stock-760734/#post11719810
I want to open mine up so I can either remove that amber chunk or wrap it in some 3M CF vinyl.

Lmao my gf thinks it's funny how your gf lives near her, and we both live near each other. She found it really weird when I noticed Raj in his tsx and tried to wave to him. I think she felt embarassed to be with me lolol.

Myron- Yeah i cleared my headlights by my self, and i'm down to help you clear it but like i said in the other post i wont be moving back to Edmonton till the summer time so you might have to wait lol.

v|nsan|ty- yeah i cleared it by my self, had one heck of a time trying to put zkw-r lens back on cause the clip from the projector was hard to push back in and i also scared that i might break the clip also. Here's a picture of my cutoff not too sure if that right.. lol.

edmua6 - Nice to meet you!

type-s ones do have those clear/amber diffusers but I didn't know that you could just remove the amber part.
Yea Vincent, my gf thinks it's weird too haha

iChinese, I can wait till summer I am in no hurry to do this, and I also got the ZKW-r lenses that need to be put in. Glad you have experience with this.

myron - okay that sounds good, when i moved back to edmonton and some free time i'll hit you with a msg or something. and i cant guarantee that every thing would be absolutely perfect. Also are you just gunna cleared out the headlights and put in the zkw-r lens? or are you gunna put some switchback on there too?

Lol the people on this thread sort of use pliers and break it. Sounds kind of ghetto, that's why I might wrap it in vinyl. I just want to get rid of the amber, whether it's removal or hide it.

Tony let me know if you guys do this in the summer. I want to open up my headlights too. I'll be ordering switchbacks but still deciding on whether or not I'm going the zkw-r route with phillips 85122+ bulbs or hid.

I don't have any switchbacks right now but I might get some if I decide I wanna do this for sure. I also wanna paint them. I did it before on a vw golf but I am scared of fucking it up. If I had a golf, I wouldn't worry about it. But never done this on a TL so need someone that has done it before.

side question, opinions on running 245/35/19 on 8.5" wide 19s. Fronts would still be 235/35/19. Would it look funny with a wired tire in the back?

Wider you mean? It will probably look weird knowing that they are both 8.5" wide. When are you mounting them? I'm excited. lol. All i can say is, photo shoot!

v|nsan|ty arlight i let you know if were gunna open up the headlights and stuff. and if you get the switchbacks i suggest you go with 6000k light bulbs because right now i have the phillips 85122+ with switchbacks and the colours just don't match and it makes it really ugly. the phillips 85122+ is only good on the highway cause you can see a lot better, if you don't travel a lot with your TL i suggest you go with 6000k light bulbs cause i'm switching out my lightbulbs for some 6000k this summer also.

myron- okay, so you want to blackout the headlights?

haha I didn't get them. I found 2 of them on kijiji and I am thinking of getting them for the rear and then run 235/35 I got with them on the front. I can't spend too much money on tires. Like no money basically. But i think I might just run some almost bad 235/35 falken ones that I got with the wheels and call it a day. Until they fall apart and then get new ones if I have to

yea I wanna black then out but also remove the amber, and leave the area behind the amber chrome looking. Wouldn't black that part out.
