^1.5 for 3G TLs are enough but he has a TSX, I did a quick research and the stock ride hide is pretty high. I guess 1.9 will be just fine.

here is a picture of my accord last year.

I've driven it last winter and it wasn't that bad.

hey there fellow etowners, just saw this and thought i'd check in too. my name is winfield, i just bought a 2g nbp tl-s aspec in november. the car is stock and was in pretty bad shape when i bought it so mostly just repairs going on for now. hopefully will be done with those and modding by the fall. doesn't help that i got sideswiped twice this winter while parked on the side of the road .

haha. Yea I bet they are more awesome in person. So when you get your a-spec kit and a drop, and I get my wheels mounted, we need a shoot. Any everyone else is invited. I might have someone in Edmonton who would do a shoot for us. He is a friend of a friend and I am sure that if we all got together with my friend (who now has a 06 TL and a 350z you are about to see) there would be some pics to be taken.

here is a shoot he did for my buddy

that won't fit unless you have a type s bumper in the back right? Or at least a type s a-spec lip but you will have to cut the stock bumper to fit it. But it will look sick man

@ricky.. yea, i think i paid way too much for them. but at the end of the day, you gotta pay to play. they are my dream wheels ever since. regarding my exhaust, it's an XLR8 TL-S quad exhaust. they are made for the TL-S but it can also fit regular TL, the exhaust is just direct bolt on. however, you have to put a type s bumper or type s rear a spec (i'm going for the tl-s rear a spec) in order to give way for the quad tips.

here is the diy for type s rear a spec installation

I may take that challenge. You just have to take it slow because you have to drill the bumper, front from underneath and back right in the middle half way up the bumper. But i did it with no help so 2 people doing it will be even easier. I never used the dremmel but i am sure it's not rocket science. Plus I am an engineer so I am sure I can figure it out hahaha

haha sorry I wanted to say that I haven't done the back lip like you want it done, type s on a base bumper, but that it can't be that bad. And the front lip is a piece of cake. Sides can't be that bad either. It will take a few hours to do though

@riicky. alright i will let you know.

@myron. i don't think the type s rear lip will be a pain in the ass. have you checked the diy? https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...=diy+type+rear

the only tricky part is cutting the slit for the plastic strap on both ends of the lip. we don't need even need to cut the middle part of the bumper, we just need to cut the sides of the exhaust outlet. other than that, it will be a piece of cake for you. lol

you sure we don't need to cut the bottom of the bumper off?

I haven't looked through any of those DIYs because I never thought I would do this so I didn't care but it doesn't seem too hard from that DIY

Yea we dont need to cut the middle part. I read the whole thread and most of the guys who did the diy didn't cut the bottom part and it worked just fine.

no i didn't get a quote the guy was in US but I will tomorrow. And then I am gonna give your guy a call.

I did a tranny fluid change, back 50 000km ago. I had to because my 3rd gear was popping out and grinding. Dealership changed it with honda fluid and it was fixed for a month and it was acting up again. And then I did the change with GM fluid and it was all good. 50 000km all good not a single issue. Get that if you can. Chevrolet dealership on argyle road and 75th street might have it. THat's where I got mine 2 years ago

Yea I would change it any ways. It doesn't hurt. You can do it yourself, it's pretty easy. If you know how to unscrew the bolt, you are good haha it's that easy.

There is more GM tranny fluids. And they are not called GM any more. They got bough out by ACDELCO. Fluid is called Synchromesh Transmission Fluid Friction Modified. Make sure it says Friction Modified on it. I think I got an empty bottle in my trunk I can take a pic of it and post it here so you see how it looks like. If I still have it I have to check.

drain and refill. I left it dripping there for a while. I raised the car, took the drain bolt off, it started draining into the oil pan or what ever you wanna call it that's pretty flat, then lowered the car of the jack so there wouldn't be any left somewhere in the back or something. Then I just refilled it after like 15-20min.

oh and the guy came back to me with an estimate for the belt for 400$, and an inspection of the motor mounts and front axles. I get some weird vibration from time to time when I accelerate and I am not sure what it is.
