What the..........

Why is it that whenever we talk about what platform the RL will use or talk about wheather it will use the AWD system from the MDX or even talk about what size engine the next NSX will have. Why is it that we always assume they will use an existing platform or AWD system or a stroked 3.5L for the next NSX. Is it so far fetched to believe that Honda is capable or creating a new AWD system that may even be RWD bias? Could the RL not have a unique all new platform just like the upcoming NSX?

Maybe we are'nt giving Honda enough credit here. I hope I'm right.

It appears he is saying that the new RL and NSX will share the same platform.

Of course the new RL will not be based off the NSX platform...kidding me.

Im not messing with you guys I just don't have enough info to safely say what model it will be yet. Its one of two...so as soon as I know...I will think about letting you guys know.
Either way it will be bad a$$ I prefer the latter of the two versions.

This thread would be much more interesting if it was about Acura boosting their production vehicles, as in FI

Are you talking about NSX derivatives? Are these going to be affordable?

Likewise, are there any TSX derivatives in the works?

I wanna see an RL prototype and a next-CL prototype already. And the HSC/NSX on the streets. And then we can talk about more Acuras.

from my sources at ACURA-TSX.COM... who have always been right. way ahead of everyone else (ex new tl)

acura is producing a RWD roadster... a premium S2k of sorts.

also a lil bit of hints at a new CL in 2 yrs. but just hints.

the roadster i would bet this site on being here shortly.

if they make a V6 that'll rev as high as the S2k, not only would it quite a sight to see, but also quite a song to listen to. i think the CL-S engine sounds great (even stock).

Acura S2000 that would compete with the Z4 would be nice... And since Alpina is coming out with the Roadster s, perhaps Acura can do a Type-S model on the roadster!

An Acura S2000. Will it cost close to 40k? I think the current S2000 is 32k, with no discounts. The S2000 is a special car for a special few, diluting it makes me scratch my head.

I suggest trying another nameplate. Or have a spare 100k for the next NSX.

Yeah. I'm sorry but Gilbo and Sick are getting just too predictable for me. They no longer "spice things up". You know what they're going to say and when they're going to say it.

Sorry guys, you're losing your touch.

acura does need a car to compete with the G35 coupe and Sc430, yeah u guys will say the NSX, but the G35 coupe is about $40-50K less than the Nsx and the Sc430 is $30K less than the Nsx, so it doesn't make sense price to say the Nsx.

I hope that noone thinks the NSX is made to compete with the G35 or SC430. A true attainable, higher end sports coupe (or sedan, for that matter) is something Acura needs. There's nothing in the line-up to strive for once you've got your TSX or TL.

For all pessimists here,
maybe you should wait a little and see what Acura comes up with. Justin said hundreds of times already that Acura is cooking something for enthusiasts.

P.S. However, I can guarantee that Gilbo will hate it anyways.

What??? Did I read that right? Did Sick just say "love" and a honda product in the same sentence? Will wonders never cease. :P

But I'm gonna have to agree with him on this one. The S2K does rock!

I think the S2000 is sensational. It really is for a select few people. IMO, looks great too. I know a few guys here with em, modded out. INCREDIBLE cars.

I just wish I fit in em
