throttle body variances btween years /types/p and 6mt

ok i ran down the list of throttle bodies from acuraautomotive.org and i noticed a couple things all the type S throttle bodies are the same cl and tl in the type S from 01-03 except for the '03 CL6mt which has a different part number and is signifigantly less expensive at 150 something(why?) you'd think it were the exact same TB minus the VSA which is sold seperatly and quite a bit of money over 500$ all the cl/tl-P tbs are the same and are more expensive than the larger type TB although only by a few dollars...last i checked the MDX for shits and giggles and it's different yet with a higher part number(wondering if it's bigger yet?) and almost the same price as the type s TB at 250 ish....

here are my main questions the org refers to the acura part number of these units as
( auto type s) GYB67A
(6mt)GYB3A
(cl/tlp)GY35B
(MDX)GY91A

so to summerize there is a GY ontop my TB and it is much larger than the tlP TB i had while mine was out getting ported and kingmotorsports...but it too has GY ontop but neither has any other noticable numbers...how can i varify for certain either is the throttle body theyre supposed to be? my type S TB was replaced when i had my engine done (throttle plate was bent)
last who knows somebody with a 2001-2002 MDX i need to measure the opening?

what if you went to a dealership and popped the hood on an mdx?

if it is bigger, there is going to be a huge sales in mdx throttle bodies

It's gotta be a typo. They all use the same TB.

I checked acuraparts247.com to check on this as well after reading this thread.

The '02 part number is 16400-PGE-A01 and costs $239 (GY67A)
The '03 6MT part number is 16400-PGE-A11 and costs $155 (GYB3A)

Very interesting. And no the price for the '02 throttle body does not include the VSA valve assembly.

The '02 MDX throttle body part number is 16400-PGK-A01 (GY91A) and costs $220.

I think the '03-'05 MDX use drive-by-wire throttle bodies.

I haven't seen them part to part, but I know the VSA attaches somewhere around there...maybe there are more "little" parts around there that connect into the VSA

Read post #5. The VSA or TCS valve costs $400+ more and is not included in the listed prices for the throttle body.

I meant all TypeS models have the same TB. The MT does not have VSA, but you knew that already.

Thread revival:
Because I'm looking for answers close to what OP was looking and really never got answered.
Since I can't find a cl-s throttle body I've been looking for substitutes.
The 01 MDX looks as it might be a fit for a type S I can't find.

Does anyone know the size of the bore on the 01 mdx throttle body or know where I can find the info ?
As long as it's atleast the same as the type s or bigger than I clp's size it would be a good replacement since they are readily available.

I've been recently looking myself and now a days 150 new is not going to happen.I'm not even sure if it ever did. 300 is in the ballpark.
If you can find a used one for a 100 you should jump on it.
I've looked everywhere and no one whats to give them up cheap.
The places I ran across on the net were wanting 140+^ used, then who says your not getting a piece of junk.
