Please help! I am 100% new.
I just recently got into the JDM/Tuning/Import scene in Houston. I bought a 2005 Acura TL base with Navigation. I don't really know anything but I want to race my car. Can someone help with beginner mods or recommendations? Its a J32A3. I was thinking intake, exhaust, etc. I plan on keeping the look mostly OEM. I dont want anything super flashy, mostly a sleeper look. I just want to let you all know I love Acurazine and I love the support everyone has been showing me. Please teach me some of the ways!

TL is not JDM! Look in the performance threads! Intake and exhaust are your main options. Its a high dollar for small HP returns on this car. I would suggest that the best and most cost effective way to go faster would be to invest in a track day or two with an instructor. Way more beneficial than a CAI or anything really. And of course the best tires you can get!

as far as being new, you may want to look at all of the problems and fixes section before you get started on performance modifications
i've already been through all of these problems:
the o-ring, rack and pinion, blue tooth handsfree (the chip or circuit board dies on you, but there is a post on how to fix that). just rebuilt my transmission a couple of months ago, and just fixed my water pump and radiator a couple of weeks ago.
have fun with the car audio, it's a pain in the ass, i've still havent fixed all of my issues with that. the wiring is horrendous. i have brought my car for audio shops to work on countless of times and it's still not done correctly.
btw, no one on this forum will be very helpful to you. they will just tell you to do a search:
