If you were trading it in in Seattle and it is in Good condition, then it's ~$7,250 according to kelly blue book online.

Amazing what a difference mileage makes in trade in... my 2004 with 50k miles has a trade in of $12,500.

There are too many variables to offer any kind of an accurate response to the question in my opinion. Location and what you would be trading the car in on are two biggies. Used TSX prices seem to be very sensitive to location. A good deal in Dallas may not seem so in Detroit, or vice versa (for example). I'm pretty sure you'd find that an 04 with that many miles would be of little use to a dealer; they'd just wholesale it off. A good one (dealer) would most likely come right out and tell you that you'd do better to sell it privately. That said, since a dealer has more money to work with on a TL versus a Civic (again, just an example), you'd most likely get a better offer against the TL.

I'm in the same boat with my 05. I'm at 153K now with no end in sight. The car is in excellent condition and has been well maintained, but I'm pretty sure that the mileage alone renders it of little use to all but the corner used car lot. But.... there are those that realize that over 100K miles on a Honda need not be of a huge concern if the car was well maintained. Those people are who you'd be trying to attract on the private used car market.

yeah trading in seems like a losing proposition, only plus is not having to deal with the hassles of private selling and just being able to unload the vehicle quickly.

as it stands currently I'm still driving my tsx but will likely put it on craigs list to find a buyer that appreciates the mods I've done and the condition my car is in.

I just bought my TSX from a dealer. 05 with 69k. I'd be surprised if they gave the previous owner more than 10k for it considering I got it for 16k, plus they put 2k in repairs into it.

For yours, I'd expect about 8k from a dealer. Maybe 10k if you sold it private party. I've only owned cars with over 100k miles before, but numbers that high still scare me.

5500-6000. They almost never use trade in value, they use auction pricing.

if you have the time, sell it to a private party. 6mt is rare in my area and people will pay more for it. the dealer will screw you as much as they can. if you were in CA bay area, my buddy might be interested...

Well, I've got an 04 with 161,500 on it and rated an 8 on a 1 to 10. I was just offered $4000 ACV by Tempe Acura. Wholesale book is $6500 I think they said, but the Mannheim report shows 04's are going between $2500 to $4500.

Its all going to depend on market, time of year, what dealership brand you try and trade in at, etc.
