I've done well by Curry Acura. http://www.curryacuraparts.com/
Might not be the absolute cheapest, but they'd be competative and they'll ensure you get genuine Acura parts. eBay may or may not.

Sure does. I ordered sport boards via ebay and had them shipped. Fit my 09 MDX perfectly. I paid the dealer $130 to install so that I don't have to get my hands frozen in the cold climate.

Thanks vtec. How much did you end up saving after shipping/duties/brokerage/install/other ? I'm thinking of doing the same.

Probably saved $500 bucks since the dealer wanted close to $1000. The parts manager told me he can't even get it for what I paid via ebay. I will probably order the roof rack, cross bars, and hitch via web sometime this summer and not give the business to stealership, if I can.

Ebay was the cheapest for me...360.00 shipped. I installed it myslefy. Took about an hour and a half by myself. Probably would have installed it quicker than that but I wanted to make sure all parts were correct and intact.

The seller I bought mine from is not selling anymore from what I can see. He is one of the dealership from New York state. I only got my running board because the rocks were chipping the bottom of the doors in the winter. It looks pretty good after installation, so it was win-win situation. Only thing is getting the back of the pant legs dirty from rubbing.

I just bought a set of OEM sport running boards for my 08 MDX on eBay from a seller named jj5969. $300.00 including shipping and they came from Curry Acura in NY. All new in original wrapping and box. This guy lists a couple of sets every few weeks. So if your patient a good deal can be had. Hope this helps someone.

Just put on a set of OEM Advance Running Boards on my new 2010 MDX. Bought online, instructions easy to follow. I am ok with tools, can follow directions and know my limits. Took me about 2 hours total time with note that if I had another person to help at a couple key steps could have shaved off another 30-45 minutes or so.
Most annoying parts were taking off the original sill panels (plastic piece that runs front to rear wheels at base of side fender)- these mofos just didn't want to slide off as promised. Also, to be honest, lining up the bolts in the running board itself correctly with underlying brackets is a pain.
All in all, though, was quoted about 800 for parts/labor at dealership and did it all for about 400 from Curry.

I just lucked out and scored a set of sport aluminum ones off of craigslist for $80 with hardware. Theres a couple of spots where the clear coat is flaking off. I plan of removing the clear and respraying. I'll have a set of the "granny style" running boards for sale in a week or two.

Can anyone with the sport running boards tell me how wide they are? It's hard to see how much of a step they provide from the pictures I've seen of them online. Thanks!

According to this guy on another forum they will, and they do, on his 2009:
"Good news! The 2010 Advance running boards worked perfectly with the 2009 MDX. You simply bypass the removal of the splash guards and side sills and go straight to bolting on the three brackets and then bolting on the board. Very simple - takes probably less than 20 minutes to do. I am pretty pumped with the results and the ease in putting them on. They look great and they have a nice sized foot print to step on.
I will be calling up the parts dealer to let them know that this board is compatible to earlier models. I suspect the sales of these boards will increase since they can be used on 07-09 MDXs as well."

For anyone who has installed them, are they significantly wider than the stock plastic runner/splash protector?
Thanks

They do stick out far enough that they will rub your pant leg. I was considering them and while looking at a set installed on a car in the showroom, a salesman actually suggested before we add them that we may want to see how easy we can get in without rubbing. Turns out it is not too bad getting in if you are careful, but it is a big step- getting out almost always will rub. I liked the look too but now I think I will skip them. Its wifey's car and she didn't want dirt on her clothes from it
