That charger is really crammed in there. There are pros & cons to the mp62 vs mp90. I think the efficiency of mp62 is a solid trade-off. Getting a proper tune and preventing knock is the bigger issue.

Hey Rob - What happened to the Dyno sheets that were supposed to be posted up some time ago? I know the final number was announced -- but we never received the actual dyno sheet.

I would like to know too.

How does the supercharged 4G TL compare to say, the M3 (ie. any unofficial or official numbers of 0-60 and 1/4 mile)? I would also like to know how does the supercharger affect mpg?

Yes the kit will come pre-tuned, I would think that CT-E will lock you out of being able to tune it just to cover them.

An A/T kit will be available in the near future

I don't have a sheet from CT-E yet. The numbers that they gave me were 340 whp and 320 wtq. Factory was around 250whp if I remember correct. We are going to our local tuner to get the sheets next week. I will post them as soon as I can

This is very nice progress in the S/C for the 4G tl..

I wonder if this would/could bolt up to the 8th gen Honda Accord.

We are in the progress of getting a AEM F/IC tuned and tested for our accord. Biggest problem is the VCM with the A/T...

Asked about the ICEBOX before the pics were revealed. Pics apparently are meant to answer my question. It appears CT has chosen not to come out with one. Any reason why?

I just got back from Acura of Lynnwood, Rob was nice enough to take the time to show me the supercharged TL as well as letting me ride along for a demonstration. All I can say is WOW!!!. the supercharged TL completely hauls ass, it's hard to explain in words exactly how it feels, but it's definitely got a lot more power than mine. I definitely want a supercharger on my car at this point!

Oh, I suppose I should have done that, I honestly was having too much fun being blasted into the passenger seat. Maybe I'll have to go out again and Rob will let me record the fun.

Nice!

I test drove a WRX a few times and I recall the WRX had some serious pull and push-in-your-seats feeling (aside from it built like a cheap toaster oven unfortunately). Did the supercharged TL have that same feeling too?

The TL definitely had that, in second at 2500 rpm, I had my head whipped back into the headrest, I would put it at least on par with a 2010 v8 camaro in terms of pushing me back in my seat. The difference of course is the crazy sc whine.

If you're worried about gas mileage, why would you even consider going FI?

No reason that your mpg's cruising down the highway won't be the same or better, but you'll be on the gas so much it won't matter you'll get crap mpgs overall . At least that's my experience with superchargers.

On the previous generation blower for the 3g TL, mileage per gallon wasn't influenced by much, if at all. Don't you guys remember?

More than likely, with normal driving habits, the mileage will stay relatively the same as pre-s/c. It's the DRIVER who remains at fault, really...lol who the hell can resist stomping on that s/c'ed beast!?

it doesn't, IIRC. i'm not entirely sure, but the TL's have never really had high oil temperature problems. albeit, with the comptech blower, i could imagine potential problems. you could do meth injections though?

When I'm driving on thr highway or with people In the car I don't drive as hard and want good mileage. But I still want the power for padding, fun driving, and to be able to get out of a tight spot that you get put in when the people around you don't know how to drive.

Also sorry for the typos in my message, I was using my phone to write the reply and it really wasn't working well.

padding = passing

Also one of those examples of a tight spot was back in my Buick LeSabre there was a semi in the passing lane, I was merging onto the high way, a truck merging behind me decided he wanted to act like I wasn't there and he went onto the shoulder on my right. He then started to merge into my lane right along side me, that time, I had to slam on the brakes after I saw no one was there... I don't know what that guy was doing.

Usually I get out of those spots by breaking, again today I was going around a two lane roundabout in the middle lane and the guy on my right drove between both lanes so I had to brake, and this is a very common occurance.

As for speeding out of the way, that is usually when you get sandwiched on the highway with someone behind you or you have to dodge someone in an intersection because they decide to blow a red without looking.

Redline is more of a function of cams, springs, retainers and ECU... you need better - more durable hardware (springs and retainers) and a camshaft profile that will take advantage of the hire RPMs. Then a custom tune via the Megasquirt ECU and you should be set.
