Salt cleanup after winter.

I`m confident that the rest of the car suspension, under body and wheel wells are free and clear of salt. But, the engine has so much crusty salt deposits in it is literally covered in it.

What to do? Just take a wet rag and wipe off, take a hose to it not sure.

Cover all electrical components to protect it from water. Either use water GENTLY to remove it or use steam.

What if anything should I cover up in my TL? The only thing that would be a concern is the throttle body where the intake is. Maybe some water can get in through there.

No water can get into the throttle body the way it's designed. I'd say cover any exposed wires, fuse box, any exposed electrical connections and just be wary around the coil packs. Don't get too aggressive there. For the most part it's a Japanese motor, you shouldn't have a problem. Just remember, start gentle and then move to more aggressive solutions.
