Arrow Need Help Diagnosing this Sound

Hey all, there's what seems to be a rattling sound coming from the passenger side of the engine (toward the timing belt area). Yesterday morning I started the car in the morning (cold start) and there was this sound

http://vocaroo.com/i/s07297wRYkEn (SOUND CLIP) Sounds like a rattle

It went away after about 20 seconds or so then stopped. I drove 2-3 miles and made a stop to check the engine oil (waited 5 minutes). It was low by a quart. It was still between the lines on the dipstick, but definately toward the minimum reading. Poured a quart of oil into it. Drove to work and back. Didn't make the noise the whole day. It goes away when the engine warms up.

This morning I checked the oil level, it was full, but when I started the car the sound was recreated. It went away after I started driving and, at this time, it only appears on cold starts. I'm thinking rod bearings? How much is that to replace at a local mechanic? I heard you only have to remove the oil pan to get to them. The problem doesn't seem catastrophic at this time, but I've read bearings can be a pain if left unfixed.

Other than that, it drives and runs perfectly fine, no overheating or nothing of the sort, nice and smooth. But that sound is bothering me. I'm going to take it to the mechanic tomorrow morning and see what he says. By the time I get to him, I know it won't be making that noise.

Opinions? Hopefully it works out well!
