Agreed; don't get me wrong, it was definitely hauling ass, just not as much as I expected. The blower doesn't really pick up steam until 4.5k & up. As I never launch the car to prevent long term damages, you can really feel it sucking (leeching) the life out of the motor below 3k to get going... .

Awesome!

Question; which model/year Z do we pull rotors from? Or does it matter so long as it's brembo equipped?

Also, fastbrakes.com doesn't say what the bracket is made out of? Unless I missed it?

i read through the thread below and most people are getting 05 350z brembo rotors, but someone did mention any year 350z brembo rotors will work which makes sense. Also, i'm pretty sure the brackets are aluminum. At least the ones that Paul makes are.

Confirmed this morning, 03-05 Nissan 350Z Track Edition is what we need. Going to plug the trigger on a set of slotted & drilled rotors listed on ebay.

Not too sure about the brackets from fastbrakes.com though; need reach out to them to verify prior. Not open yet since they're MST

I believe Paul is no longer making brackets. And I *think I remember reading fastbrakes brackets are out of steel where as Paul's were aluminum.

Confirmed, fastbrakes.com's brackets are made out of 6061-T6 Aluminium Alloy; typically used in aircraft construction with very high strenght to weight ratio.

If it's good enough for an airplane, it's good enough for me!

I'm running the same setup and recently picked up some drilled/slotted from Brakemotive, a sponsored vendor here and have been very pleased with the look/quality. I'm not sure how much RK's ebay ones are, but I picked up front rotors/pads for $102 shipped. Here's his thread:

those are RL. RL's are 4 piston, NSX are 2 piston calipers. they arent much better than CL brakes. which is why ill be swithcing to 6 piston bbk front/rear this summer.

Couple of goodies arrived!

Brackets from fastbrakes.com; shipped usps and arrived in one piece.

Quality seem to be solid; we'll see once installed...

Now this was the most surprising... at a whopping 48lbs, slotted & drilled '05 350Z Track Edition rotors.

Also forgot to mention, rotors came with a set of ceramic pads.

Body work is still underway; we actually made some mods to the front bumper . The wait is killing me!!!!!!!

Been travelling with the Mrs. the past couple of weeks, so I haven't been to the shop. I stopped by there today and they were prepping the wheels for paint. I picked up a set of center caps with the emblem that is going to get painted as well; emblem will stay chrome, cap will be black... should look good!

Off topic; we went up north for the holidays since the Mrs wanted to see snow. Man, I don't know how you guys do it up there. Boston for a couple of days, then Manhattan for new years. Cold, cold, & cold! Don't think we'll be moving out of FL anytime soon!

Beantown has the fattest squirrels!

The one who supports my CL modding addiction; the wife.

Lost tourists.

Elmo in city, with bottle of jack! Seriously lol

Great shot

Great trip, but just too darn cold for my liking... Happy New Year AZ!

Pics look awesome man. It's always good to put a face to the person you've talked to so many times yet have not a clue who they are. I must say, your personality most surely doesn't match your looks...I mean you just don't look like the "racey" type of person. Many people said that I looked much younger than I appeared on here or over the phone. Tbh, I consider myself to be too damn old and am still having a hard enough time adapting to the whole fact you can know people all over the world but not REALLY know them.

Can't wait to see this car with the black wheels man...
