New design xs 6 speed headers vs comptech

I recently email xs about the headers and the told me that the have upgraded the header. The new headers are 321 stainless and 2.2 mm thick steel. I will be receiving the headers soon and I will snap pic. How would you guys think it would compare to the comptech headers? The price is still 130 shipped.

Unless they recently started to make them again the 6 speeds headers were phased out for years & years now & only had auto versions. Considering how small the market is I bet they ship you the auto versions.
Look at the FAQ, tons of info comparing them...

i'm pretty sure they were comptech knockoffs but the collector might have been 2.5". I would triple check that they are sending you headers with a bend in the rear header (for the 6speeds).

Credit card probably will get your money back.

PayPal will give you more of a hassle, but they should also give a refund.

If you have a valid situation Paypal will see your money refunded. You need to be able to articulate your case.

You get what you pay for. Even if they do fit they aren't anywhere near the quality of Comptech headers. I understand that your budget may not allow for the price tag of Comptech/CT-E headers and the XS headers may fit but there will be absolutely no comparison in quality, material, precision, or technology.

They worked fine for me for 50K miles. Granted I got an original set. Only issues were after 100K miles where the flex pipe cracked & the rear header cracked at the collector.
Sold the car at that point.
Yes CT's are the best & I did have a set on another 6MT CLS.

planing to weld some of those crack and smoothing it out. I think it was worth 130. I read on the forum where you can put rubbing alcohol on it and it will keep it from getting goldish brown?

You can't beat that quality for 130.
welded on the inside and out on the flanges for 130 .
They look to have a beter/smoother transition bend for the 6spd. Do they ?

Holy shit! Nice find! Can't believe they started production again.

Can you measure the collector size? Is it the 2.5" like the Comptech?

Even though it said they are out of order they arent! I emailed them that it was a 6speed and bought it on the website. After you buy the headers they email you back in 2 days.

Comptech is 2 inches for a fact. I cut the stock flanges off, I actually still have them lol. Had a friend weld 2 1/4 v bands on mine, as in the pictures I posted earlier.

Wow. Cant believe they actually are making them again either. There's so little of a market these days. Wonder if they started again because of people doing engine/trans swaps.

That is exaclty what I did....probably over 6 years ago now.....bought XS Power headers for about $100....had a friend redo a lot of the welds and then I sent them off to, at the time HPC (High Performance Coatings) now Jet Hot, to get them coated. Not one spec of rust, crack, resonating, or anything in 6 years. Total cost for headers and coating....I think it was under $300.

im glad im not the only gunny pig with these new headers.!!
i emailed them 2 weeks ago, after some back and forth, they agreeded to sell me one.
I just recieved the headers today, they look good, some of the welds could use a touch up possibly, its completly stainless so there will be no rust which is a bonus.
They are for 6 speed, and they do have the bend. From what i was told by xs, if i blasted them on a forum, they would reimburse me soem of the cost. I paid 150 shipped. Whixch the box came straight from china. Address and all.

They look good, hope for the best.
Defiantly will entertain touchin up some welds, and the insides could use some TLC. Iv neevr seen legit headers if you will, so not sure how comptech looks inside.
