Acura NDX (SUV-X) vs Lexus NX
NOT REAL
The naming takes a direct hit toward Lexus. But since the Acura concept is named "SUV-X", "SDX" could do too I suppose... but NDX is more daring.. but sounds like MDX so that could be confusing...
Power trains:
1.5L Turbo (Shared with HR-V when it arrives (2016 ish?)
FWD or SH-AWD
CVT for FWD, 8 DCT or 9 AT (I don't care which) for SH-AWD
160HP, 190LB-FT FWD
180HP, 220LB-FT SH-AWD
Hybrid with Accord Hybrid power train.
Anyway, voila.
Oh.. and I need to toot my horn here for a moment. I hate hate hate the SUV-X concept, all but its grill. I hate the color, the odd styling, the CR-V/ Fit like taillights (When the HR-V has Acura-like taillights??) and the wheels! However, just 3 hours in photoshop has gave me a change of heart. It's still a little odd looking I guess but from what it was to what is is now is enough for me to love it. The color made a difference as well. Anyway, proud of myself over this one because I was able to stick to the design language 80% of the way through like what really happens. :-)
Looks a bit like the Lexus NX doesn't it? The TLX looks a bit like the IS.. I think that means I done the realistic thing haha.

Gotta give some credit for effort and imagining what a concept car could be for Acura.
I'm guessing the OP has this in mind to replace the MDX?

This car, erm, CUV, slot below the RDX. It's a compact cross over based off of the Honda HR-V (Honda Vessel and Acura SUV-X concepts).
SUV's: NDX, RDX, MDX
Sedans: ILX, TLX, RLX
Coupes: CLX, NSX
^That's pretty much my ideal Acura line up. Not that they don't need the NDX, but I figured since they have mentioned going into such market and even had a concept laying around, minus well toss it in. I'm pretty pleased with my result of keeping it on the concepts design language. Rear entry is a bit on the small side because I shrank the door opening but the HR-V (NDX/ SUV-X will be based off the same platform) is actually pretty roomy inside thanks ot the '15 Fit platform. So blame me for making it look too tiny in the rear entry.

interesting idea but it may be too bold for Acura. Maybe the following can work.
New small CUV - 177-178 inches / 63-64 inches tall (similar length as mid 2000's Santa Fe)
RDX - 183.5 inches / 66.1 inches tall
MDX - 191.6 inches / 68.2 inches tall
New Super SUV - 200-205 inches / 70-75 inches tall (similar to Lexus LX size)

if you have that much time on your hand, instead of making an imaginary CUV, can you make a good looking RWD coupe for Acura?
I prefer 3.5L high rev N/A 350hp or 3.5L TT 350hp.

What the hell, since we are dreaming, we can throw the Mugen Maxx specs on it too. http://vtec.net/news/news-item?news_item_id=319284

The sizzle in the Steak
Why put the beak on it?
If you are going to design a "better" Acura, at least design a new front end....sans beak!

I didn't make the chop, asshole, and plenty of people see the KB1 as one of Acura's best designs.

If Acura released that today, that would pretty much kill any sort of "come back" by the brand.
Seriously now.....

I'm a realists.. until it comes to the power trains.. so I make the design as close as possible to what Acura would put out.
I do this stuff all the time and have for the last 2 years or so. I want to be a designer at Acura. You know, the guy who goes over the designs and says "Hell no" to such things and do what do now by doing the little edits and fixing the design. I rarely do a full model design on my own, this Acura NDX being one of my first in a while.
