got in the car this afternoon and the rear view is dangling on the ball joint at the end of the the post. It's perfectly fine on the windshield, it's the joint where you adjust it. It seems like something came lose in there. My plan is to take it off the window mount (which I really did not find instructions for because mine looks different), and take a look without taking everything apart up there, to see if there is a loose nut or something. There is a free floating 'washer'. Is there any clip at all holding the mirror to the metal piece on the window or is it just using force to push off? There is plastic blocking the underside from moving up along the metal piece toward the roof, so it cannot go that way. The videos show it coming off upward and back on downward on a wedge of metal. The plastic at the base prevents this. It looks like it pops off somehow. And oddly enough the back panel that faces the windshield is missing.
