I actually live like 5 mins away from Cranes Roost and theres tons of places you guys can eat at. You have the Altamonte Mall which is around the corner which has basic food court stuff, and you guys can look up Uptown Altamonte and will pull up a bunch of other resturants, theres a pretty good variety for Cranes Roost, Five guys, Steak n Shake, Dennys, Subway, Pei Wei, etc...

Damnit....not gonna be able to make it. I work probably around 4:30pm and I live down here in Miami. Suuuuuuuuccckkksss. And I work in a restaurant...mothers day weekend is by far one if the busiest weekends of the year so there's no way out of it. Wish it was a different weekend. Been wanting to attend a meet for a long time now.

I'm looking forward to it, as there have been other meets that something's come up for me. It happens. But maybe this can turn into a semi-annual all-FL meet. Early May and early November are nice times of year.

When I stopped by that area last week there was a mall there where there is plenty of places to eat and plenty of parking. I'll try to get the address up later today

Hey guys! havent been on since I sold my TL, I plan to be there to cover the event for my site Rooksmag.com, but I need to forwarn you guys, I live literally 3 minutes from Cranes Roost. Cops constantly patrol that area and do not like gatherings of any nature unless it was approved by Cranes Roost officials. Also, the mall is also patrolled by rent a cops who will break up any gathering in the parking lot. I was photographing a car and was kicked out. He literally saw me takign pictures and said you need to leave now! It is a gorgeous area around there. But heavily patrolled and very much against anyone messing up their look with anything they do not like. Now I am not sure if you guys got permission to do the event there, and I'm sorry for being a negative nancy, I just thought I'd give you guys a heads up incase you didn't know. I'd call Cranes Roost or City Officials to verify if it is ok and get it in writting. They hit people with Trespassing. Just saying!

Downtown Sanford has a nice scenery. There is a marina and we can park there. Has to be early as to there is a park across the street and people hold parties there. Just a thought. Blanchard Park in Winter Park is a good spot. Also food is right up the road. Anything from applebees, panera bread, world of beer, Buffalo wild wings and a couple more. Only bad thing is when you park it will be dirt and those who put tire shine or are low may need to be careful.

I have contacted Fountain Acura on Orange Blossom Trail and have a message into the Sales Manager. I'm hoping they will sponsor this at thier dealership as we won't have to worry about any Law Enforcement Issues.

Acura of Orange Park has sponsered meets up here and Jacksonville in the past and they were pretty involved with giveing us an space to meet.

I will keep everyone aprised of the efforts to pull this together.

Great idea! The mechanics schools i previously mentioned are right across and down the street from there too (in case that doesn't pan out there are other possible options).

If you are talking about Mech Tech or UTI, I know for sure they both welcome enthusiasts, but UTI does have speed bumps

Check out Blanchard Park in Winter Park Florida. i have pictures but it doesnt allow me to upload them. Alot of open space and cops rarely patrol it. It does nhave speed bumps but the speed bumps are the wide kind and not the lump on the road kind. It has sitting area as well and some BBQ pits as well. Food is down the road on University.

Downtown Disney is another area with food and great locations and is a mid point for people coming from all areas.

What do you all think? As we are drawing closer, we need to make a decision - Johnie mentioned that this place is about 25 mins from Crane's Roost, and there are restaurants about 5 - 7 minutes away...thoughts?
