Im pretty sure the previous generation superchargers from CT were carb legal as well as not interfering with the factory warranty, as long as the HBP isnt installed.
Someone correct me if Im wrong.

So we got a little New Years present today. I got some preliminary dyno figures for the TL. I will post the final dyno sheets when they are done. Right know its almost 100hp increase in H.P!!!!! At the wheels

"Can the stock clutch handle this increase in power?"
Short answer, no. In my experience, the stock clutch needs to be babied even to handle the current level of power. This car is heavy and SH-AWD allows essentially no wheel slip... do NOT try to "launch" the car from a standstill at high revs or you will smell clutch. Guaranteed.

I normally launch for best times about 3500-3750RPM and dont have any issues how high do you take that puppy?

Drifting
I was wondering the same thing. Isn't that the same as on the 3G? I thought they only got 60-80whp from the 3G. Maybe a bigger pulley?
Also, isn't dynoing the 4G notoriously difficult? Had anyone been able to dyno any SH-AWD Acura yet?

Some members starting getting gains of 70,80,90+ with the addition of other mods like jpipes, PCDs, custom s/c CAI etc...
the MP62 blower is beyond its efficiency level when it was on the 3.2L TL... thats why comptech scrapped the project on adapting it to the UA7 3.5L TL
This is the same supercharger that is on a 2.0L Cobalt SS....thats why i am wondering how the hell they managed that kind of power
heavier pulley isnt the answer... infact, the few times an engine was "blown" on a 3G from the supercharger, was because of the high boost pulley that changed boost from 5ish~ to around 10~ish
I hope somebody chimes in and talks more on this... Maybe the ECU on the 4G is not as difficult as the 3G, and there is some tuning and A/F adjustments as well? maybe an upgraded fuel distribution method? was timing altered?? these were all things that really couldnt be done on the 3G, and limited the 3G from becoming the monster everybody hoped it would be..
in all honesty, i will probably never plunk down $5k for this blower.. but i really am intrigued by the design and the "results" that are being claimed... to gain 100+ awhp from a small roots supercharger on a MASSIVE almost 4Liter engine is pretty bewildering

Nice to see interest in the 4th gen TL but wow... only a 1.0L blower? The Audi's use a 1320cc 6th gen TVS Eaton blower and their motors are only 3.0L
Pontiacs back in the day used a M90 sc for their 3.8L V6's.
It doesn't make sense tuning wise when you know that spining that supercharger so fast to compensate for flow rates/boost will only increase heat, that on a 11.2 CR motor is not a good idea.

It would be nice to see a relatively affordable lysholm setup like the upgraded NSX SC kits.
But thenit reminds me of what either Nate or Ryan told me that back in the day they sold more NSX SC kits then Honda/Acura V6 kits combined or at the very least just the Accord.
