Supercharged 2010 TL-SH-AWD 6-speed

Does the SH-AWD have the torque overhead to handle the extra output in the bottom 2 gears?
Packaging seems a big hassle, displacement blowers aren't super awesome to begin with but I wonder why the centrifugal isn't being explored considering the space constraints and IAT concerns.

Regarding Supercharger for SH AWD 2.7
I've been corresponding with Chris from CT-Engineering via email regarding the supecharger, here's what he told me: "We have made a couple of kits for pre-production testing and they make around 80 WHP in it's current form. The only thing keeping us from putting these kits into production is the tuning. We have been having issues with the car throwing codes near the top of the RPM band. We hope to have this on the market sooner than later but we don't have a solid date yet."
80 WHP would be pretty SWEET!!

Why don't you edit it the title, instead of opening another thread?
Go on EDIT -> Go Advanced -> from there you can edit the title.

eh. as a two-time TL owner, i think if u wanted to boost ur car, u shouldnt have bought an acura. honestly, after owning my 12 tech for a month now, im already over it and kinda kicking myself for trading my challenger, or not getting a more moddable vehicle. the new TL just isnt mod-friendly. and none of them have or IMO will ever be boost-friendly.

The linear powerband of a supercharger and the linear powerband of a high revving VTEC engine are ideally matched; the problem is no one builds applications for the market.
If you're wanting to play with boost, you're better off with an Ecoboost Ford that'll fall apart in 60k or maybe the BMW 3.5, which will let you know it's temperament as soon as a climate changes in 24 hours.
As I understand the new M5 is a twin-scroll turbo'd V8 putting out an underrated 550HP with a Dinan flash taking it to 600 instantly. But then you're talking about a $95,000 car.....which is why you bought an Acura in the first place.

i dont miss the 400+ hp so much...i just wish i would have followed the TL line better before i bought one. knowing that even aesthetic changes are minimally available for the new TL sucks. had i realized it then, i would have gone with a different luxury sedan. (not that the TL isnt a great, nice, comfortable ride)
honestly, i dont see the point in adding a shit load of HP to a TL. its a cruiser, not a racer, imo.

Fucking Acura, first it was the v8, then they dropped the k32T.. Not to mention Ikeda is a fucking horrible designer. Get your shit together.. your audience is a bunch of fanboy's looking for performance.. throw'em a bone.

Just wanted to give everyone a heads up. We have been working with CT-Engineering on a supercharger for the new TL. We hope to have the car back towards the end of spring. There is also a exhaust system that is almost ready and a Carbon Fiber Icebox. As soon as I have pictures and horse power figures I will post them.

Sadly, The tuning solution is more important than the parts. Comptech is hamstrung as they are reliant on tuning solutions within the marketplace. Because the aftermarket for this platform is relatively small you see the chicken/egg problem

I just now noticed the upper coolant hose and how chopped up it looks. I don't even know what kind of part that is that re-routes the coolant 90 degrees, but it seems somewhat shady. Otherwise the kit seems to fit very nicely in the engine bay. I will be interested in hearing if the engine tuning issue got worked out in this or not.

2G TLX-S
What does that FMU or ignition controller do ?
Does it modify the stock ignition signals going to the spark plugs ?

The 2014 TL/TLX will be a new-from-the-ground-up sedan, if Honda sticks with it's product plan.
