New Guy, New Forum, New Car..
Hey you guys my name is Jonathan, im new here to the site and now a proud owner of a KBP 07 type-s auto. Only 95k ,clean title, one owner. I upgraded from my built 93 civic 4door, that was my daily. I also own a turbo fully built 93 del sol, so im not quite new to the performance game. Well, i must say the the TL is stuffed with technology and honestly doesnt compare anything to my other rides, but im not afraid to take on the challenges. I do have a list of future plans for TL, as im mainly into performance and handling. Ive done alot of research on this forum and ive gather up alot of information that might increase HP as well as give a better appearance to the car. Heres what i plan to do....
Mods:
Aem v2 intake
J-pipe with 3rd cat delete
Atlp exhaust system possibly non resonated ( you be the judge)
Intake manifold spacer.
H&R springs with koni shocks 1.3" drop (feedback or disagreement will be taken in consideration)
I will be doing slotted rotors but i haven't decided on a brand. Any suggestions? I will be pairing it with hawk pads, thats for sure.
Cosmetics
Other then the mods above ive already switched out all the the interior lights with leds from
vled.com
Im also thinking of doing the DRL hid conversion and also getting 3k hids for my fog lights with the independent switch.
Will be buying oen window visors and also wanting to buy a roof spoiler which i cant find anywhere. Where did you buy yours?

As for sound im thinking of just replacing the stock subwoofer with just one 12". Im also a bit hesitant to replacing all the oem speakers to aftermarket ones as the stock amp wont give the new speakers enough juice for a good sound. Any advice will be taken into consideration.
Well im hoping im off to a good start, and will be posting pictures of my progress as i go. Ill post current pictures once i get a chance

Welcome and Congrats on the new car! you will love it but someone who use to have Handa's for Modding its a different world!

Atlp exhaust system possibly non resonated ( you be the judge) I went custom exhaust, cheaper, just as good, and went non resonated.
Intake manifold spacer. This is up for debate, probably some other mods for more HP / feel first like a UR pulley. IMO
H&R springs with koni shocks 1.3" drop (feedback or disagreement will be taken in consideration) you will want lower once you do it. Go coil overs. I went Megan racing springs and they are a 1.5 1.75 drop and I want lower. Coils!

Stock speakers are fine if you dont plan on competing. I personally went from stock sub to a 10 in the trunk. very happy all around but that is just me.
You will also want to look at adding an ASpec kit if you dont have one already.

Welcome to A-Zine... You have some great ideas for your modifications...
RV-6 has the best J-pipe (IMHO). My TL has the full set-up,but it is rather expensive...
I have the Tien SS (which I love)
Window Visors: Stick to OEM
Hawk pads, great... +1 on checking out XLR8
Roof spoiler: Sarona (good luck finding one)

Aem v2 intake (Huge debates rage on with this, but the general consensus is that a CAI won't produce a measurable power increase since the TL already has OEM cold-air ductwork. That being said, it looks and sounds cool!)
J-pipe with 3rd cat delete (Lot's of options here, i think all the newest j-pipes will delete the 3rd cat. Check out Heeltoe's new j-pipe, just released.)
Atlp exhaust system possibly non resonated ( you be the judge) (Don't forget about the pre-cats! high-flow or deletes, that's probably the BEST hp/$ ratio mod)

I'll help out on the Roof Spoiler. I got mines from Ebay Seller bmwoemshop as many other fellow Aziner members have done. Seller actually gives a good price for AZiner members. Just in case if you're interested in a pic of how it looks, here's mines and also the link to bmwoemshop..
As far as visors, definitely OEM.

What do you guys think about the blue led DRL's? like the color but im thinking that it might not look right with my car being blue already. Should i just stick to the xenon white?
