New Guy
Hello Guys,
Very excited about my purchase today...2008 TL-S. As a car enthusiast I'm not new to cars/trucks but I am new to Acura. My plans are to keep it clean & stock (save for window tints).
Amazing story......while inspecting the car I came across the previous owner information in the glove box. I contacted her and she was very excited to chat about her car. She was the original owner and confirmed she "babied" it.
Pretty cool hey...
Here are the dealer pics for now until I get her home...

Thank you guys for the kind words. Sorry for the late update but I'm sure you will understand.......
Took delivery Friday evening 07/25/14
Dropped car off at dealer Saturday morning 07/26/14 to have the following addressed:
-Timing Belt/Water Pump/Tensioner/Spark Plugs/Drive Belt
-Air filter
-Coolant/Brake/Oil/Transmission/Steering fluids all changed.
-New Pads & Rotors all around.
-New driver Brembo Caliper (seized)
After a much much lighter wallet I picked her up Wednesday evening 07/30/2014 (Imagine my suspense of only having the car 1 night) brought her straight home and immediately started clay baring.
07/31/2014 after work immediately started the detailing process. I ran out of daylight and finished detailing 08/01/2014 and I'm proud to say she is all done! One of my neighbors commented on how he could see my 3 days of hard work paid off My other neighbor came over and he thought the car was brand new lol.
Currently enjoying the weekend cruising around in my new toy. Enjoying VTEC lol. Tuesday however she will be going back into the shop for the rear lower control arms. My alignment is slightly out.
Hopefully I get another ILX loaner....not a bad little car. Enough rambling onto the pics.

The ILX was a car that grew on me. Initially I found it just ok but after spending more time behind the wheel I came to appreciate it more & more.
-The interior has a nice quality look & feel. All controls were easy to figure out without a manual.
-While its not the fastest, the car begs to be "driven hard" & this made it extremely fun (no i wasn't abusing the car - I treat all cars like I do my own).
-It's a great city car that is fun to drive with a high quality look & feel.

Welcome and congrats on the WDP Type-S...so jealous!
Not a fan at all of the new ILX or TLX. The 4G's grew on me after a while, but I don't understand why they strayed so far from the 3G design..which was the most popular.

I've found the previous owners info in the glove box on a few occasions. And yes, if I'm serious about buying the car, I will look their # up and call them. It has always paid out for me...and they are usually pleased to talk about their old car(just like your experience).
Congrats. It looks like a beauty.

Welcome and congrats!
I'm glad to see that you took care of maintenance items before anything else. I didn't plan on modifying my car until I discovered this website so hide your wallet
